(Scene opens at the Diazes' house; it is night. Star Butterfly peeks into Marco Diaz's room as he sleeps. She then proceeds to run down the stairs. She arrives in the kitchen, and pulls a box of cereal out of the cupboard.)
Star: (Reading Marco's sticky notes) "Don't touch! I will find out!" Sure you will, Marco. (Pours herself a bowl) Sure you will. Heh-heh-heh.
Nick: (Enters the room with sleepy eyes) I swear to God, that thing's like your drug.
Star: (Yelps; turns around to face him) Nick! What are you doing here??
Nick: Can't sleep. Tired, but can't sleep.
Star: Oh... Anyway, I've been wanting to ask– what was that whole "Eva and Dot" thing about with Baby?
Nick: (Sighs) Before I get to that, here's what you needa know: It... It involves that lizard monster Toffee. (Cautiously chooses his words) He once appeared in my dream and while I don't remember most of it, I remember him mentioning how I'm in a way like them. But back with Baby. She handed me the book that... Just mention the simple stuff about them. Think of it as a bio. Still don't know who they are. But...
Star: But... what?
Nick: Kat did tell me whoever from the Butterfly family brings them up, is referring to them. That got me thinking: what if–
(Before he could finish, Star is hit by a blast of light and encapsulated inside a crystal. The bowl of cereal falls to the ground.)
Nick: (Gets startled by the sound of the blast and when he sees her inside the crystal) Oh, shi–! (Looks behind her and sees somebody in the darkness; furrows his brows in confusion) What the fuuu...? (Getting interrupted, he is also hit by another blast of light and is encapsulated inside a crystal.)
(The figure, who turns out to be Rhombulus, first walks over to Star, struggling to pick her up. He drops her crystal on his foot.)
Rhombulus: Unh!
Marco: (Turns on light and sees Rhombulus) Uh... (Marco is also hit by a blast and crystallized.)
Rhombulus: Really? (Groans) All right. (Opens portal, grabs Star) One... (Grabs Nick) ...Two. (Looks at Marco) Thanks for nothing. ...How am I supposed to grab... whoever this is?
(The scene changes to a different dimension filled with crystals.)
Rhombulus: Chancellor Lekmet!
Chancellor Lekmet: (Appears from behind wall of crystal, bleating)
Rhombulus: (Kneels) My liege. I come bearing an offering of great momentousness should it please thee.
Lekmet: (Bleats)
Rhombulus: Uh, well, it's kinda heavy. I was hoping that thee could come down here to see it.
Lekmet: (Sighs)
(The chancellor sits down in a stair lift, which then mechanically begins to move down the stairs. It gets stuck.)
Rhombulus: Oh, dang! Is that on the fritz too? Oh, hang on. I've got you. (Picks up Lekmet) So, um, speaking of the interdimensional fritz?
Lekmet: Baaaa?
Rhombulus: I've been doing some digging on my own and, uh, I think I've found what's causing it. Get this, it's not one person, but two!!
Lekmet: (Bleats)
Rhombulus: Stay right there. I present to you the sources of the fritz. (Reveals Star and Nick trapped in crystal)
