Haruno Sakura POV
I woke up, but not entirely, to the sound of chewing and quiet conversation.
"Aiko must've been really tired, we've been here for two hours and she still isn't up," I heard someone say, it sounded like Draken.
It took me a few more minutes but I finally was fully awake, I opened my eyes slowly and found Mikey's face about 2 inches away from mine, staring right at me.
"What?! You're awake!?" he exclaimed, jumping back, "Draken am I imagining this?!"
Draken sighed as he stood up, "Mikey, you're probably going crazy from the lack of sleep-" He cut off his words in disbelief when he saw me wide awake, trying to hold in my laughter.
Though it didn't work very well because after seeing Draken's surprised expression I couldn't hold it in any longer.
"HAHAHA!! You should've seen your faces! You looked constipated!" I laughed quietly, trying not to wake Aiko. It took me a few minutes to calm down but I wiped the tears from my eyes and sighed happily, "That was the best laugh I've had in so long! Hey, what time is it?"
"Around 8:30" Draken answered, he sounded weirdly giddy. I looked back at the two and saw that they both had wide smirks on their faces. Then, as if they rehearsed it, they started to slowly walk towards me.
"You look really comfortable there with Aiko, Sakura. Right, Draken?" Mikey smirked.
"Yeah, they looked so cute cuddling in their sleep. Like now! Look at Aiko snuggled all up on Sakura." Draken teased, also smirking.
I blushed furiously, quickly turning my head away from the laughing duo. I was hoping they wouldn't mention our position. As I was about to say yell back, Aiko began to stir.
"What's with all the yelling?" she mumbled, picking her head up.
"Hey sleepyhead, d'ya have a nice nap?" I said quietly, ignoring Mikey and Draken making hearts with their hands behind her.
"Yeah, that wa-" Aiko finally opened her eyes and I think she just realized our position. She jumped up off me and fell off the bed.
"AH! I'm so sorry! I didn't realize I was there!" she rambled, scrambling off the floor.
Idiot 1 and Idiot 2 couldn't keep it in for any longer and bust out laughing, falling on the floor while holding their stomachs.
"HAHAHAHA!! THE WAY YOU FELL OFF! HILARIOUS!!" Mikey laughed.
"DID YOU SEE HOW HIGH SHE JUMPED!!" Draken wheezed,
I sighed and looked down at Aiko, her face was flaming red, and held my hand out to her, "You're fine, you did nothing wrong," I smiled.
I didn't think it was possible but her face became even redder, but it did when she grabbed my hand. I pulled her up and she sat on the bed, we watched the idiot duo roll on the ground while laughing. I looked up at Aiko and found her already looking at me, we smiled at each other.
"How do you feel?" she whispered, "Fine, I can barely feel anything, though I think it's just cause I'm on some strong pain killers," I answered. I turned back to the duo.
"Oi, thing 1 and thing 2. Why don't you both get up so we can talk?" I yelled.
It took them a few minutes, but they finally got up off the floor and sat down on the hospital chairs.
"Did anyone get arrested?" I asked. I hope everyone was able to leave before the cops came, excluding Kisaki, of course.
"No... but Kazutora is thinking about turning himself in though. He came in and visited you the day after Bloody Halloween and he's been feeling guilty the Baji is trying to stop him but he won't budge." Mikey sighed, "Hanma and Kisaki were able to escape and we haven't anything about them for a few days."
I nodded, taking in the information. "Do you guys know when I can get out of here?"
Draken stood up, "I'll go get a doctor so we can find out."
"Did Valhalla get disbanded?"
"Yeah, around forty of them want to join Toman," Mikey replied.
"That's great," I replied, "who did you put them under?"
"Mutuo, even though his division is officially 'the special task division,' they're the ones who deal with people that I think are spies. I decided to have them stay under him for a while until I know I can completely trust them not to go back to Kisaki."
Someone knocked on the door and came in a few seconds later. It was a guy in a long white doctor's jacket, "Hello Sakura!" he smiled, "I'm Dr. Yamamoto Hayate, the person in charge of you while you're in here. You suffered from two stab wounds that could have killed you, one in your back and one in your stomach. Luckily, the knife in your back did not hit your spine or any major organs so that should feel fine in a couple of weeks. I can't say the same about your stomach wound though. The knife hit your pancreas which caused a lot of internal bleeding. We were able to stop it and sew it back up, but you won't be able to move like before for at least a few months. I'm gonna keep you here and monitor you for a few more days before you'll be released. I already informed your guardian of all your injuries." He left.
I looked towards the others, "My guardian? Do you guys know who that is?"
"There's this cop who says she knew you from a couple years ago at the bike shop incident. Do you remember from back then?" Aiko answered.
I thought back to terrible night, "I don't remember much after the cops got to the scene but there was this one lady. I think her name is Hayami? No- it was Himari. Is she in charge of me now or something?"
"I'm glad to know that you still remember me." a voice said from the doorway.
"Holy Shit!" I yelled, jumping up a few inches off the bed. A wave of excruciating pain came from both my stomach and back, "Dammit, I think the pain killers wore off," I groaned. I took deep breaths to try to ease the pain. Aiko and Mikey crowded around me, bombarding me with questions.
"I'm sorry! I didn't think I was gonna scare you that bad!" Himari exclaimed, walking into the room.
I put my arms on top of my head, the pain was unbearable. What kind of drugs was I on earlier? It must have been super fucking strong if I was able to move so well earlier. "I get that you're a cop but why the hell are you so quiet?" I mumbled, "Can someone call a nurse?"
