THIRD PERSON'S POV
Knock! KNOCK!!
"WAKE UP! UP!! Now!" shouted an angry aunt as she banged on the door.
"We're up... We're up," the voice of Harry and Elysia Potter could be heard in the small cupboard where they slept.
"Good morning, El," Harry said as he reach for his glasses
"Morning..." Elysia grumbled, whipping her glasses that were covered with dust.
The twins leave the cupboard after their cousin; Dudley jumped on the stairs, yelling; "Wake up, cousins!! We're going to the zoo!" then rushed to the dining room.
"Why don't you two just cook the breakfast?" Aunt Petunia said as the two enter the room. "And try not to burn anything."
"Yes, Aunt Petunia." They replied obediently.
"I want everything to be perfect for my Dudley's special day...!" She brighten as she hugged Dudley.
"Hurry up! Bring my coffee, girl!" Uncle Vernon shouted, glaring at the back of Elysia's head.
"In a minute, Uncle Vernon," She voiced as she whipped some water on the counter. Elysia took a quick glance at the pot on the stove, some kind of clothing were being boiled in it. 'Let us hope that she won't make me wear Dudley's old uniform...'
Petunia led Dudley over to the living room, where there were a vast amount of presents. Dudley stared at them and asked; "How many are there?"
"Thirty-six," Uncle Vernon answered, "Counted 'em myself!"
"Thirty-six?! But last year I got thirty-seven!!" Dudley whined.
"Tch.. only 36 he said," Elysia said under her breath. Harry snickered at her words.
"Yes, well, some of them are quite a bit bigger than last year!" Uncle Vernon tried to calm Dudley down
"I don't care how big they are!"
"Well, they should give you thirty-EIGHT matchboxes," Elysia smiled as she walk to Uncle Vernon with his coffee.
"Oh, now, now, now. This is what we're going to do, is that when we go out we're going to buy you two new presents! How's that, Pumpkin?"
"Fine," Dudley said stubbornly. "So I'll have thirty... thirty..."
"There will be no thirty, cousin. It'll be forty," Elysia replied, wondering if he would notice that she tricked him. Both Uncle Vernon and Aunt Petunia glared at her and she quickly turned away to help Harry with the rest of the breakfast.
After breakfast, they got ready to go to the zoo as promised. As the twins were about to enter Uncle Vernon's car, he stopped them; "I'm warning you two, any funny business, anything at all and you two will be in that cupboard for weeks!" He warned,
"We won't do anything... honestly," Harry told him,
"Mhm, we're normal human beings like you too, you know..." Elysia fought the urge to roll her green eyes for the second time that morning.
"I won't have any of your attitude, girl."
Elysia stayed silent this time, waiting for him to just let them inside the car and get the day ended with.
Soon, they were in the reptile house, looking at a large snake.
"Make it move," Dudley commanded and Uncle Vernon tapped the glass of the cage loudly "Move!"
Dudley banged on the glass much harder, making Uncle Vernon wince. "MOVE!"
"He's asleep!" Harry shouted.
"He's boring..." Dudley complained and walked away.
"Sorry about that," Harry told the snake.
"Why are you talking to a... snake?" Elysia stopped talking as she observed the snake's behaviour; It woke up and winked at them. "C- Can you hear him?" Elysia questioned, hoping that no one around will think she was crazy, but then it nodded.
"Wow.. we.. we never talked to a snake before. Do you...I mean...do you talk to people often?" Harry asked, excited.
The snake shook its head.
"You're from Burma, aren't you? Was it nice there, do you miss your family?" Harry asked after he read the description box next to the snake's cage.
The snake turned its head in the direction of the bottom of the description; Bred in captivity.
"Ah... so it's like that for you..." Elysia said. "That's us as well... we never knew our parents either--"
"Mummy, Daddy! Come here!" He shouted, "You won't believe what this snake is doing!!" The now awake snake had attracted Dudley's attention. He ran over to the cage, knocking Harry and his sister to the floor.
Dudley placed his hands on the glass wall.
The twins glared at him from the ground. Suddenly, the glass disappeared and Dudley wretched forward. He fell into the snake enclosure, sputtered in a pool of water.
The snake gets out of the exhibit, stopping in front of us.
"Thanksss, amigo." It hissed and the black-haired siblings gave it a nod.
"No problem." Elysia faltered.
"Anytime." Harry smiled.
"Brazil, here I come," And the snake disappeared.
"SNAKE!" The people there just screamed.
Dudley got up to get out, but the glass was back over the enclosure. "Mum, Mummy!" He called as he pounded the glass.
"AHH!" Aunt Petunia yelled when she saw him, "My darling boy! How did you get in there?!"
Harry grinned and giggled as Elysia smirked, satisfied over what happened although they have no clue what was the cause.
Uncle Vernon stared at the two and by that, they know that they will be going to stay in the cupboard for weeks as he said. And when they got home, Uncle Vernon was so... so angry at them and he just said; "You. Two. Cupboard. Now. No. Meal."
And off they go...
