ELYSIA'S POV
The Slytherin team was already behind the door, waiting for the other team; the Gryffindors.
"Nervous, Elysia?" Marcus asked.
"Yeah..." I gulped, nodding my head. After taking a few deep breaths, I got on my new broom.
"Don't worry, you'll do it fine," He said as he fix his robe. Then, he looked at our teammates, "Alright, everyone! Let's show those idiots how to play..!"
The door opened and we flew around the pitch. The Slytherins cheered loudly for us.
"Go!! Slytherin!! Slytherin!!"
The commentator, Lee Jordan started speaking into the magical amplifier.
"On the green side, we have seven snakes- Ouch! Sorry, professor... Ahem! We have Terence Higgs as the Seeker. Captain Marcus Flint, Graham Montague and Adrian Pucey as the chasers. Miles Bletchley is the keeper! Peregrine Derrick and Elysia Potter on the Beater position!! We're pleased to welcome the youngest player on the Slytherin team this year! Hey, Elysia! Do you have a boyfriend-- Sorry! Sorry! I'm just joking, professor."
Lee introduced the player on the Gryffindor team; Their captain and Keeper, Oliver Wood. Katie Bell, Angelina Johnson, and Alicia Spinnet as their Chasers and the beaters were Fred and George Weasley. Lastly, Harry, the youngest Seeker.
"Today, our first Quidditch match of the year; Gryffindors VS Slytherin!" Lee announced, making the crowd cheer.
Then, Madam Hooch walked to the centre of the field. She looked at every single player, "I want a nice, clean game from all of you."
I feel personally attacked by the look she gave me and my teammates. But from what I heard about my house, I don't blame her--
"The Quaffle is released... and the game BEGINS!"
As the Quaffle flew high, one of the Gryffindor chasers caught it and pass it to her teammates. When the Quaffle was up in the air, Marcus caught it-- Argh! Back to the Gryffindor! The game continued with Gryffindor scoring points and Oliver kept blocking their hoops successfully.
"Woah!"
A Bludger zoomed its way towards me and I hit it towards another direction. Oh, no... I hit it towards Fred!
"Oy!" Fred shouted at me, also hitting it away, "Could kill me there, mate."
"Sorry?" I shrugged my shoulder. Then, George hit one towards me, "Hey, watch it!"
"Watch what?" He shrugged, mocking me.
"Haha.. very funny," I rolled my eyes.
"This is not the time to play, Elysia!" Marcus yelled as he threw the Quaffle to Adrian.
"Yes, captain!" I replied and flew to his side to hit a bludger that almost hit him.
"Pay attention if you want to stay on the team!" Marcus said and rushed to the left so he can catch the quaffle that Adrian threw back at him. He quickly throw it to Gryffindor's hoop, but, Oliver Wood caught it and passed it to his teammates. Oliver look at Marcus and smirked at him. Irritated, Marcus took my club-- "Give me that!" He hit a bludger, knocking Oliver out.
My eyes widen before I quickly flew to catch him by his robe. I released his robe when we were just a few feet above the ground and go straight back to Marcus, "Please don't do it again..."
"Whatever! Just hang in there and stay focused!" Marcus shouted, shoving the club back to me.
"Yeah.. yeah..." I frowned.
The game continued. Now, with us leading the scores. The Chasers on the other team were amazing but Miles was doing a very great job defending the hoops!
When I almost save Graham from being hit with a bludger, my broom stopped abruptly and then, it began to move itself up and down and started spinning me around.
Despite being quite dizzy from the wild movement, I saw Peregrine fly near me and successfully hit the Bludger.
"Looks like Elysia's broom going a little bit crazy there!" Lee said, confused as he looked at Professor McGonagall. "What's going on, professor?"
I held my broom tightly to avoid slipping down from it and falling to my death. But I did slip and now, I was hanging in the air with my left hand holding my broom that was still moving rapidly around.
Luckily, it stopped after some time.
"You okay, there?!" Marcus asked from a few meters away from me.
"Yeah!" I answered, "I'm just hanging in there!"
He nodded his head a little and turned his focus back to the game.
DRACO's POV
Elysia slowly got back on her broom. We can see her taking a few deep breaths before continue playing.
"You look a little bit pale, you know, Malfoy?" Zabini nudged me.
"Drakie... He's right...! You do look pale," Parkinson piped in
"Probably because of the weather," I said as I rubbed my gloved hands together, "It's a little bit cold here-- And I told you; Don't call me that."
"If you say so," Zabini said and laughed under his breath.
"I'm glad Elysia is okay," Parkinson sighed in relief.
"Me too," Six of us agreed with her.
