Y/N ran after her elder sister as they made their way back to their home.

Suddenly, S/N (Sister's Name) put her hand out in front of Y/N.

"Huh? What's wrong nee..."

Her words trailed off once seeing the scene before her.

A large monster had its back turned towards the sisters.

It was hunched over their parents' bloody corpses.

"Back away slowly, Y/N," S/N whispered.

The younger did as she was told.

The both of them took a step backwards.

However, their attempt to flee was interrupted by the crunching of the snow.

"Damn it," Y/N muttered.

The monster turned its head in the girls' direction.

It smiled disturbingly as it stood up to its full height.

"Run!" S/N yelled.

The both of them dropped their baskets and sped away.

However, the monster was too fast.

It pounced on S/N.

"Onee-san!" Y/N screamed.

"Water Breathing, First Form: Water Surface Slash."

The words were followed by the decapitation of the monster and the appearance of an unknown man.

The man was tall and had long, messy black hair and beautiful sapphire eyes.

The man turned around to face the sisters who were now embracing each other.

"Arigato!" They exclaimed, their gaze now on the man.

The man's eyes were focused on the younger sister as if he were in a trance.

He quickly shook his head, bowed, and disappeared.
