Y/N shifted her gaze from Muichiro and Kokushibo to a figure that was moving behind a pillar.
'Genya-san!'
She rapidly shook her head as Genya pointed his gun at Kokushibo.
Deciding to ignore her warning, Genya fired at Kokushibo.
"Don't you think so... as well...?" Kokushibo asked, appearing behind Genya.
Genya's arm, the one that held the gun, fell to the ground.
"GENYA-SAN!" Y/N exclaimed, running over as he unsheathed his katana.
But before he could do anything, Kokushibo cut off Genya's other arm.
"Hm... I see... So you've been eating demons, huh...?"
Kokushibo sliced Genya's torso in half.
Y/N attempted to creep over to help Muichiro escape.
"I wouldn't do that if I were you..." Kokushibo said, looming right over her.
Y/N looked at the floor in fear.
'What do I do? I can't possibly help them both with Kokushibo here.'
"Oh... You aren't dead yet... Even though your torso... has been sliced in half..." Kokushibo muttered, his gaze turning back to the struggling Genya.
"Around three hundred years ago... there was a swordsman... who ate demons just like you... He died when I sliced his body... so perhaps for you... it's your head...? I have no reason... to let a fake demon like you live..."
Kokushibo unsheathed his sword and swung it towards Genya's neck.
'Wind Breathing, Fourth Form: Rising Dust Storm.'
Sanemi appeared in front of Genya, causing Kokushibo to be blown away.
Y/N took this opportunity to run over to Muichiro and free him.
"Sorry..." She muttered as she pulled the sword away.
She pulled out a cloth and wrapped it around the wound tightly, all while Muichiro stared at her in admiration.
Y/N's eyes widened.
"Rui!"
She turned to look at where she left the small demon.
She let out a small sigh of relief seeing that he was okay; he laid on his side asleep.
Y/N walked over, gave him a small kiss on the forehead, and covered him in a very strong cocoon.
"Sleep well, Rui."
