Over the next few weeks, Y/n had become a regular guest of the host club. She wasn't a guest as much as she was invited to help become a ghost member of the club, helping research their various themes. The hardest part? Y/n was now technically a ghost member of more then one club, not that any of the other students were aware. Her joining the second club had prompted a surprise invitation from the principal to meet him after classes had ended the day after she had joined the host club. He was surprised, worried that as a scholarship student she wouldn't be able to participate in her business, the two clubs and keep her grades up. However all it took was a simple explanation of the game she had set in motion, and all his worries were washed away. Y/n was an odd one, he supposed, but not one he had ever had to worry about academically or behaviourally.

Y/n was grateful to be a part of the Host Club, for the most part. She got to do what she loved and have all her hard work actually go towards a goal beyond her small but flourishing business for the first time in her life. The back room she had claimed in Music Room #3 was much quieter, and far more comfortable, then her corner that she used to hole up in in the back of the library, and that allowed her to focus on the work she was doing. It wasn't as nice as the solitary environment of the abandoned art room she usually frequented and ran her business out of, but it helped her to keep an eye on how Kyoya was fairing with the game the two were playing. It also helped her when she needed to study, as she often did. More then once she had stayed later then she meant to, not realising everyone else had left, and had gotten herself locked in. After one too many calls at all hours Kyoya finally gave in and asked the school to get a second key cut. With the chairman being Tamaki's father, who weirdly found great amusement in watching everything the young girl was doing unfold, there was no issue there.

Besides her work with the host club, y/n continued to blend in a little too well. She wore the same yellow dress as all the students and had e/c eyes and h/l h/c hair. She never wore too much makeup, and moved with the crowds to get to her classes rather then against them. She had exactly one friend that knew both parts of her identity, just enough to not be classed as an outcast or outsider, and now that she was working with the host club she only blended in more. Despite her mysterious background something about her had everyone readily accepting her. And Kyoya had made it his personal mission to figure out just what exactly that was.

The more he watched her, both inside the club and in classes, he realised that every move she made was controlled. Much like himself, she rarely let anyone in and no one really saw what was going on in her head. Everything with her was like a well practiced routine. From the way she chose who to converse with and when, to her reactions and personality. Rarely did she react the way she did that day in the library, choosing a much calmer personality, with small smiles and well rehersed reactions. It was like she had watched a movie called life and learned how to interact and react to and with everything and everyone around her. It's not that she seemed fake, because clearly everyone fell for how genuinely she seemingly reacted, but Kyoya knew better. As someone who's every move was controlled, who hid their real emotions and acted upon the whims of others to seamlessly blend in, he knew when to spot someone else doing the same.

Y/n knew she had Kyoya's interest. She could feel his eyes trailing her every time she entered and left Music Room #3, or watching her intently in class. When they would lock eyes his brown orbs would search her own e/c ones, as if he was using them to see into her soul. She knew he was trying to figure her out, understand her. She already had him figured out for the most part, recognising the same things he did and comparing them against her own. The difference was he slipped up more then she did. He used what he had to craft his persona, whilst Y/n started from the ground up, completely re-building her life and the way people perceived her. The only person who ever saw behind her facade was Mitsuo Raiden.
