Listen to Bloodstream by Ed Sheeran it really fits the tone of this chapter well. It's also the song they're listening to in the car. :)

DANIEL'S POV

Greyson was kissing me and I was in pure euphoria. His kisses made me feel alive and electrified all at the same time. I became lost in the feeling of his lips against mine. This was something that I never wanted to end. He tasted sweet and minty. I couldn't get enough. But there was something else lingering on the edge of the kiss. A weird yet familiar taste. And then I pulled back.

"Greyson are you drunk?" I demand. Now I remember what the taste was.  There was a hint of alcohol in his taste that gave me a flashback to our first kiss in the closet and all of the trouble it caused. I can't believe this.

"Maybe a little." He said out of breath, still recovering from the kiss.

"Why do you keep kissing me while you're drunk?" I said. There was a part of me that hoped he didn't feel the need to have to get drunk just to be with me. As much as I was crushing on Greyson, I refused to be with someone who wasn't comfortable being with me sober.

"I just always get drunk at parties." He said shrugging. "It doesn't change the way I feel about you."

"Yes it does!" I say getting irritated.

"How so?" He asked confused.

"You wouldn't be doing this if you were sober. You are just going to regret this in the morning."

"No I won't." Greyson said. If I wasn't mistaken he almost sounded sad about it.

"Look. I don't have time for this. I need to go find Amanda." I said leaving the room. I would be lying if I didn't say that my feelings were jut a little hurt. I mean the guy needed to get drunk just to kiss me. There was no way we could ever be together. I was delusional to even think that that was a possibility.

"Daniel, it's not like that."

"Then what is it like?" I demanded.

He was silent for a moment. That was the only answer I needed. I pivoted on my heel and walked out of the room slamming the door in the process. I was so angry and hurt I just wanted to get out of there. This party was a horrible idea.

After about an hour of searching the party looking for Amanda I gave up. The chick was  nowhere to be found. Where the heck could she have gone?

I pulled my phone out of my pocket and texted her.

"I want 2 go home." I sent out but I didn't get an immediate reply like usual which meant that she was making out in the house somewhere. She'd see it eventually.

I sighed and walked into the kitchen where a group of guys were fooling around completely trashed. They seemed to be more than drunk. They were probably hopped up on some kind of drug like molly or marijuana because they were all jumping around and laughing like idiots.

"Hey, you're Daniel Connors right?" One of the guys with sandy brown hair asked me. He had a short stature and was  about my height and he had freckles splashed across his nose and cheeks.

"Yeah, that's me."

"You're like the schools nicest guy, right?"

I shrugged my shoulders. Yeah I was known around the school for being the nicest person but I sort of hated the reputation. I mean I wasn't all sunshine, rainbows, and fucking My Little Pony. I was a complete bad ass when I wanted to be.

The guy walked up to me and whispered in my ear. "I know something real nice we can do in the upstairs bedroom."

I looked at the guy completely caught off guard. "Not interested." I said immediately. But this guy wasn't taking no for an answer.
