I think you all agree with me when I say:
I hate Rosalind
You know that phase between Coulson and Rosalind in Season 3. I hated that phase.
That's why I enjoyed writing a story where Coulson left Rosalind because of May. Hehe
Just read and you will see.

(Shortly after Andrew found out what happened to him and started keeping May away.) A**hole

(S.H.I.E.L.D Base)

"May took of on vacation and never comes back so I lost my right hand too!" Coulson was sitting in his chair, leaning back, replaying the sentence in his head over and over. It was true. May had asked for a bit of alone time. But he still knew that she wasn't alone. He exhaled deeply. He was happy for May, but something deep inside made him unhappy. His hand slammed the table just as someone walked into the room. He looked up.
"You're not looking good." Daisy stood in front of him and looked at him. "I don't feel good." "May?" Coulson looked away with a sigh. "Yeah.." She smiled slightly. "I'm sure she's good." "That's the problem Daisy, she is not!" "What happened?" "I don't know, but I feel something is wrong. And it's giving me sleepless nights." "Maybe you should find her." Coulson got up. "No, she needs her time." "But-" "No, Daisy. She asked for some alone time and I'm giving it to her." With that he left the room.

(Time Skip)

Andrew's eyes widened and he looked past Coulson. He turned and saw May coming towards him. "May?" "Coulson." She hesitated. "Andrew." He just stared at her. "Am I interrupting something?"

May and Coulson walked up the hall to his office together. Coulson was upset. "I can't believe Huter reached out to you like that. I specifically told everyone to give you space while you were on leave." "Man's on a mission. He's desperate." "How desperate?" "His latest bad idea, walking into a Hydra stronghold alone for a shot at finding Ward." Both reached the office. "I admire his courage. Sounds like suicide." "Ward knows Hunter's Face. If there's a chance they run into each other on this job--" "Hunter needs backup." "More than I can provide." "That's saying a lot." He half sat down on the table. "Most of our resources are focused on a manhunt right now, or a monster hunt. But if this lead to Ward,that would be huge. When is Hunter going in?" "I'm waiting on specifics. But I know Hunter's been operating primarily on the eastern seabord." Coulson nodded. "He's in too deep, Phil. It's affected his judgment." Coulson chuckles and smiles at her. May looked at him confused. "What?" "It's like you never left." she sighed. "But I did." Coulson smiled again. "Look, I'm sorry Andrew's here. I didn't mean to make it more awkward." May shook her head. "It's fine. We're all professionals." He stood up. "Yeah, but we're also friends. If the reason you haven't come back is because we're working with him--" "It's not." May walked towards the exit. "I told you, I can find someone else to consult." She turned to him. "Don't. Andrew's really good at what he does. You need him." Coulson came closer to her and looked into her eyes. "Yeah. But I can replace him. You not so much." That silenced May. "What happened with you two?" May sighed. "The reason Andrew left me had nothing to do with S.H.I.E.L.D. It's about me. Always has been." Coulson shook his head. "You're too hard on yourself. You know that?" She smiled slightly. "Hey. No tie?" "Still practicing." "Look better without it." There was a long eye contact. "Thanks."

After the fight with Lash.

May looked into the pod with her arms crossed. Rosalind stood in front of her. "If we put Andrew in stasis as a human, it'll slow his transformation,giving us more time to find a cure. Now, I can't pretend to understand what you're going through, but for what it's worth.. If I had the chance to save someone I love, I'd take it." May looked at Daisy. "What would you do?" At first she thought May was talking to Coulson but then Coulson looked at her. "Well...it's a temporary solution. I think we can all acknowledge that. But Andrew helped me. So i'd... I'd do whatever it takes. May's gaze darted to Coulson for a moment. "Do it." Then she left.
Daisy and Coulson both looked after her worriedly. Daisy sighed and Coulson looked at her, then she left too.
He stood there undecided and Rosalind walked over to him. "I'll go after her." She looked at him and nodded slightly. Coulson walked away a few steps and turned back to her. "See you. Get home safely." She nodded again. Then Coulson was gone.

May sat in the Zephyr and watched the sunrise. A few tears ran down her face as she thought about the time with Andrew in Hawaii. She heard footsteps and knew it could only be Coulson. She had hoped he would come. Two hands laid on her shoulders from behind and the tears grew more and more until she finally let her head drop. "I knew I didn't deserve to be happy." "May.." Coulson stepped in front of her, took her hand and gently pulled her up. May looked at him with bleary eyes. Coulson kissed her forehead and his lips stayed there for a bit. She closed her eyes and sobbed. His lips parted and he looked at her. "You deserve everything, Melinda." He gently pulled her towards him and wrapped his arms around her. Her head dropped onto his chest and he rested his chin on it. "Please hold me.." "I'll always hold you. It's okay." May started to cry and her hands grabbed his back. She trembled in his arms. "Phil..." "Shhhh...shhhh." He kissed the top of her head. "Everything will be fine, I promise you."
