You didn't trust me

(It takes place in Season 1 after "Turn, Turn, Turn.")

May realized everything had gone wrong and she had lost Coulson's trust and that of the team.
Although everything was fine now and their relationship was a bit better, it still didn't feel right.
Which is why she came to Coulson's office one afternoon.

She held her badge up to her face again before tossing it on the table in front of Coulson. She looked at him. His eyes opened wide.
"May." "Don't say anything." She took a few steps back and he stood up.

"S.H.I.E.L.D is your Life. You can't just throw it away like this. You making a mistake." "The team didn't trust me." "We've been over this, Melinda." "You. Didn't trust me." "I trusted you but I couldn't believe you." "No. You didn't trust me."
Coulson picked up her badge from the table. "Melinda, please." "I made my decision..." She looked away. "I'm sorry." She took another step back and left the room. Leaving Coulson behind. "Melinda!"
Her heart started beating fast as she walked down the aisle. She could hear Coulson's footsteps behind her and increased her pace.
She was almost at the exit when Skye came out of the next room and they bumped into each other. May looked at the girl in front of her. "May. Are you okay?" She smiled slightly. "Of course."
She saw Coulson running toward her out of the corner of her eye. "May, wait. Please." "Coulson I told you-" "I know. But let me speak."
Skye gave the two of them a confused look and took a few steps back. "Look, I get it you're hurt." "I'm not hurt.." "Then what is it.."
"I'm confused. Can I even trust myself if you don't have it." "Of course you can." May grimaced slightly and Coulson sighed. "Okay. I understand if you want to go Ore maybe I don't. Cause I need you here. But at least let me drive you home." May looked at him softly. "May please. I owe you this after all." "Did I say no?" Coulson rubbed the back of his neck in embarrassment. "No.."
Now Skye chimed in again. "Wait. You're leaving!?" May looked at her and nodded. "I just came here you can't leave! You guys are my family." "It's just a bit..difficult at the moment. I'm sorry Skye." "But, why?" "I need some time for me alone. But I'll come back."
Now Coulson looked confused. "You acted like you're leaving forever." "I could never. You still wanna bring me home?" "Yes, Ma'am."
Before May could grab her bag and go to the cars, Skye suddenly hugged her. May winced but quickly calmed down. "Get better soon, May." "Thank you , Skye." Coulson smiled, took the bag from May and ran forward.
"Phil! I can carry my things alone." "No you can't." "Excuse me?" "I said, no you can't." Skye laughed and May shook her head in disbelief. "You two are making me crazy."
She gave Skye a quick kiss on the forehead and then ran after Coulson. While Coulson was doing something organizational, May walked up to one of the many S.H.I.E.L.D Jeep and waited. "Mel, what the hell are you doing?" She looked at him confused "Why would I drive a Jeep when I can drive a red corvet." He grinned. "You think Lola would accept it if I drove with you?" "If I do, she does too." That made May too to smile and together they got into the red car.
Lola didn't stop until Coulson parked her in front of May's childhood home. He got her bag out of the trunk and May ran to the front door.
The door was opened by May's mother and her eyes opened wide. "Hey Mom." "Melli! Did something happen?!" Coulson came up the stairs with May's bag. "Phil. Please tell me what happened to my daughter." "Nothing Mrs. May. Melinda just requested a break." "A break? Are you okay Melli?" "Yes, Mom."
Lian took a few steps to the side and invited May and Coulson in. May went into the apartment but Coulson stayed outside the door.
"You're not coming?" "I have to go back. But call me when ever you need something." "Thank you." She smiled. Lian looked from her daughter to Coulson and back. "You really don't want to stay, Phil?" "I want, but I can't. The team is waiting for me."
He looked at May. "Take care of you." She smiled in thanks and walked out the door. Coulson took her hand in his. "I want you to be okay. But I need you back sometime." She pulled him closer and hugged him. Coulson wrapped his arms around her and closed his eyes. "I could never stay away from you forever." Coulson's heart quickened and he hugged her tighter. He would NEVER let her go.

I hope you like that. I just wrote it down cause tbh I feel a bit empty at the moment but I'm trying my best.
Also the next story is a double date with another fav ship of mine in the MCU. But it's not from a show
