I know!
I promised you the dance story. But it's not as easy as I thought to describe a dance. So in between a little May/Daisy story with mentions of Philinda
.

.

The story takes place after Season 3. But Daisy stayed with her family after Lincoln died.

It was quiet and no one was around the base anymore. Everyone except Coulson and May.
They stood in front of May's room door and talked. May laughed lightly but then turned to him seriously. "We should really go to sleep." "Yeah...maybe. See you tommorow then." "Yes." She smiled a little. "I-" He was about to say something but stopped. May looked at him. "Yes?" He looked at her in silence for a long time. "I hope you sleep better than the last few nights." "Ou..yeah. Me too."
She opened the door and disappeared into the room.
Coulson slapped his forehead.
As soon as May closed her door, she leaned against it and sighed deeply. After what felt like hours, she rafted up and went to wash herself.
She was about to fall into bed when there was a knock.
May walked to the door and opened it. It was Daisy and she was crying. "Daisy..what-." Daisy threw herself into May's arms.
Overwhelmed, May stroked her back. Daisy's body shook as she sobbed. "I'm sorry..I'm sorry I-I couldn't handle it. It's just.. you're the only one I can talk to about this."
She fell silent and cried again. "It's okay I'm here. You wanna come in?" Daisy nodded and May closed the door behind her.

"Is this about Lincoln?" Daisy nodded, tears streaming down her face again.
"I loved him so much.."
She cried and May led her to the bed and sat her on it. She got Daisy something to drink and then sat down next to her.
Daisy hugged her and laid her head on her shoulder. "Have you ever been heartbroken?" "A few times, yes. And still."
Daisy looked at her from below. "Andrew?" May shook her head.
"Of course he was my husband. But there was still someone who made me happier. I married Andrew and never thought about what the other person thought about it who said they would give me a chance if Andrew didn't work out . I don't even know if I loved Andrew."
"Damn, and I thought I was unlucky in love." May smiled slightly.
One last tear ran down Daisy's face. "I won't ask who it is now. Even though I might know. But it's up to you."
May stroked Daisy's head. "I don't think that's a secret. I mean it's not inconspicuous."
Daisy laughed lightly. "It's very noticeable."
May smiled softly. "Then you know." Daisy was silent for a moment but she still wanted to know something.
"Why didn't you take the chance? I mean when he offered it to you."
"I don't know. Maybe I was so blind before that I thought Andrew was the only one who would make me happy. A hope, so to speak, that it could work with me as an agent and him as a civilian." "Did it?" "No. I kept a lot of secrets from him because of my work. And then it was with Bahrain. And then it was all over anyway. But I always knew it even if I was going to date other men. I would never find anyone but one."
"You should talk to him." "I know. I might look brave but when there is something about love. Hell nah." Daisy had to laugh.

She scooted down in bed and rested her head in May's lap.
"Why did you tell me all this?" May stroke her head gently and Daisy closed her eyes. "I can trust you and I think it always feels good to know that you are not alone with some things." Daisy nodded and closed her eyes. "Thank you."
May brushed a strand of hair out of her face and put the blanket over her. "Nothing to thank for."
Daisy snuggled into the blanket and into May. "I love you, Mum." May's heart started to beat fast and she smiled happily.
"I love you too.
