Birthday Suprise

Maybe you knew, maybe you didn't but yesterday was Coulsons Birthday!!!!
Yayyyyy 🥳

Unfortunately I was a little busy yesterday.
But that doesn't mean I can't still write a birthday story. RIGHT!?!

It was almost midnight and Coulson was sitting on his desk.
His work was far from done and his head hurt.
Mountains of documents were piled up in front of him. He was just putting his face in his hands when the door opened and May stood behind it.
"Are you still working." "Yeah..." She walked over to him and leaned against the table. "You should stop." He lifted his head and looked at her. "I can't." "And what if I tell you that I would like you to stop and come down with me?" "Then I guess I have no choice." "Mmm..." She nodded.
Coulson got up and started for the door. May passed him and stopped him.
"I thought you wanted me to come downstairs." "Mhm..but you need to wait 5 more minutes." Coulson checked his watch and then looked at her seriously. "Mel, I told you-.." "I don't care."
He smiled softly and took her hands in his. "You don't have to do this." "But I want to." "Please.." "Phil. Do me a favor. Shut up."
He grinned. "What if not?" "Then I'll make you do it." "I don't know how you want to do this, but I'm curious." "I have my ways."
He moved towards the door. "You know what maybe I should go downstairs." May rolled her eyes. "No you will not." "Nothing can stop me. I wanted to anyway..-"
May's eyes fell on the clock. She quickly grabbed Coulson's arm, pulled it back and pressed her lips to his.
Coulson froze and his cheeks began to glow. Her lips were so soft as he kissed her back.
She broke away and looked at him. "Now do I have to wait until my birthday for you to kiss me?" "No." "Then do it again." May laughed and they kissed again. Coulson was in heaven.
"Happy Birthday."

When May and Coulson came down the stairs he saw all the lights from afar. And when he entered the room.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY COULSON."

He grinned.
Everyone was there: Daisy, FitzSimmons, Mack and Elena, Piper, Davis. Some others. Even Bobbie and Hunter and- "Fury?!"
The big man came towards him. "Happy Birthday Coulson." "Thank you, I'm so glad to see you!"
Next came Daisy. She made her way to Coulson and when she finally reached him, she hugged him. "Happy Birthday DC." He held her tightly in his arms. "Thank you, Daisy. Thank you very much."
Next came the others, congratulations. Giving gifts, drinking and laughing.
He got from Daisy a cup with "Best Agent Dad." FitzSimmons and Mack's gift was some new things for Lola. Davis and Piper gifted him a Captain America T-shirt and a bottle whiskey. He had to grin.
But the best gift still was: He had May. Best Birthday, Ever.
Coulson grabbed her hand and looked at her. "Thank you." "Anything for you." He took a step closer and kissed her lips. May put her head on his shoulder and they both watched the other people.
Of course, what shouldn't be missing at this moment, is Daisy.
She was standing at the end of the room with FitzSimmons. Seeing May and Coulson so close together and holding hands made her mouth drop. She turned to Jemma.
"Jemma, please tell me I'm not dreaming!!" The young british woman looked where Daisy was looking. She smiled and put her hand on the Inhuman's shoulder.
"You are not, Daisy."
Grinning, she began to squeak slightly. "YES! FINALLY."
