How I Met My Friends

A sequel to the hit show that I have never watched, " How I met your mother"

I'm kidding.

Anyways, as the title suggests, I will be talking about how I met every one of my friends.

Before I start, in our schools they shuffle the students in one class every year. Like, if me and my bestie were in the same class in grade five, they would shuffle us and end up with me in one class and the bestie in another class. This is because that school can't stand us being besties for life.

The longest ever record for a person to end up with their bestie is three consecutive years. I've gone two years with my besties before I changed schools.

So first in Primary school. Basically, in kindergarten, I was friends with everyone. and that's because I was an extroverted, annoying child who will bug people until they become friends with me. So I don't remember any friends that particularly stand out tho...

But I used to go to this babysitter instead of lower kindergarten and she taught me the ABCs and 123's. I had a friend there who lived in the apartment complex right opposite mine. We would occasionally go meet each other, and we were besties. Her name was Anamika.

Then for upper kindergarten, I went to an actual school and stayed there for the first grade too. I didn't make a lot of friends because I didn't know how to socialize but then this girl came up to me and started talking to me. We became friends right after that and I guess she had an obsession with My Little Ponies. I never watched it but she said I was a Fluttershy...

She was the reason I have a sister now. She said she had a sister and it was amazing so I told my mom I wanted one too. I was about six at that time. And I specifically told her I wanted a girl and not a boy. She asked me what would happen if it became a boy and I said then we will throw it away and try again. And when I said "Try again" I meant to pray to god because that's how my mom said babies were made.....

So yea. I had a sister because that girl made me jealous. The good thing is now I can say that my sister tore my homework assignment when I forget it...

Then comes second grade. I had changed schools in second grade and my first friend was this girl who sat next to me. I think her name was Jaysree or something.

Then there was this other girl and her name was Melinda. I met her because the Jaysree girl was in this clique or something and Melinda was the leader of that clique. Since I sat next to her, I got a pass into the clique. We instantly became besties.

But at the same time, that clique with Melinda in it had a rival. It was another girl and her name was Adhira and she had a group of friends who would follow her around like a whole bunch of puppies. She was like the leader of the group and Melinda hated her. So then they went ahead and asked me to be their friend and I was trying to blend in so I said yes. But I didn't know about the rivalry so when those two found out about me two-timing them, they made me choose and I still didn't choose.

Eventually, I got through the year and it was the inevitable shuffling time after the winter holidays for grade three. Melinda and two of her friends went to another class and Adhira went to the same class Melinda was in. So I was with this girl named Jovia.

For a while, I went to visit Melinda (Because I wasn't that close with Adhira) On the other side of the campus cos that's where her class was. She came out and talked to me but then slowly she went away and get this- She became besties with Adhira.

I was so angry I wanted to rip my hair out. But I didn't and went back to class. Now, this Jovia girl sat next to me, and after the breakup ( friend version) She came to me and kinda got closer to me. Eventually, we became besties. And then there was this other pair of girls who were besties too and their names were Jahana and Lena. We all became besties just like that.
