Dangerous Bond: Clan of Peace

Part 42

"Bee-sama!" Motoi called from the forest as he and the others, along with a stray Itachi finally catching up, came up to Bee who was still watching Naruto as he sat in the middle of the Waterfall of Truth.

"Hm?" Bee hummed before glancing at the group.

"Bee-sama, the Akatsuki have discovered our location" Motoi gravely stated.

Itachi sighed, catching Bee's attention. The man was cautious around the former Akatsuki member but was known to give people the benefit of the doubt. 

"I delt with the Akatsuki member" Itachi stated as he noticed Bee's eyes on him.

Motoi glared at the Uchiha "Like we can trust you didn't just give them more information on all of us! They could attack any moment, Bee-sama." He expressed with urgency.

Itachi remained silent as he watched Bee who in turn hummed as he looked to the forest. 

"I suggest we move our location" Motoi continued with urgency.

"I agree" Another voice joined the fray as the group turned to find Naruto standing with an aura of peace within him "I have to get to the battlefield" 

"Naruto. As we speak, the divisions are moving in on their possible location but there isn't a definitive battleground yet" Yamato explained "We cannot show our hand too early" He finished with a grim expression.

Naruto nodded "Okay, then we move closer so when the time comes-"

"If all goes to plan, the time won't come!" Yamato expressed with furrowed brows.

Naruto eyed him for a moment, understanding his concern but he had a gut feeling that it would come. He would have to join the war eventually.

"Yamato-sensei, if I have the opportunity to get to my teammates within as little time as possible, I'm taking it" Naruto stared at his second-in-command sensei intensely. 

"And what about your comrades? what about all the lives on the line that isn't your team? Do you even care about all the shinobi putting their lives on the line for you?" Yamato snapped back before breathing heavily "I understand the bond you and your team share but this is war, Naruto. Will you abandon everyone else to save your team?" He questioned, his beliefs on the usually loyal and trustworthy blonde wavering.

Naruto looked down in thought at his question. He never thought there would be a day where he'd have to choose but then again, he should have expected it. The world was cruel and he'd learned that from day one when his sensei beat the hell out of them. He had to adjust if they wanted to achieve their goal. 

Naruto looked up at Yamato "All shinobi are my teammates, Captain Yamato. I would never choose one over the other whether that is Kakashi-sensei, Sasuke, Sakura, Sai...or you" He stated with understanding eyes. 

Yamato seemed to calm down at the blonde's words. 

Itachi eyed Naruto with curiosity. The blonde kept surprising the Uchiha at every turn and he wasn't quite familiar with the feeling.

"Very well, we should change our location. Itachi has been exonerated of his crimes but we can't take any chances" Yamato stated, glancing at the Uchiha.

Itachi didn't seem offended in the least though Naruto sure felt a twinge of anger at the man's ignorance. 

"It's time to change it up then yo!" Bee suddenly exclaimed as he glanced at Motoi who nodded and jumped away.

"Where is he going?" Yamato questioned.

"To move our location, konoyaro! bakayaro!" Bee gave him the peace sign.
