Chapter 1
It was Aife's first day of school. As she walked into her homeroom, there was obvious tension between the students in the classroom.
Four people sat at the back of the room looking as bored as ever. The rest of the class sat talking to one another. Ignoring the four in the back. When Aife entered the room all heads turned directly to her. "Alright, can I have everyone's attention?" Madam Bustier said. Everyone stopped talking, most had curious faces on. "Thank you, now everyone, this is Aife and she will be our new student, I hope you all treat her with respect. Aife you can go and sit next to Nathanial." Nathanial raised his hand slightly, Aife walked over and sat to the right of Nathanial, the side closest to the window.
Behind her sat two girls. One had black hair, tied up in pigtails, that shined a midnight blue in the sunlight. The other had blond hair in one long ponytail. "Alright, class seeing as there is a new student you all have 15 minutes to introduce yourselves and get to know Aife" Madam Bustier states.
Immediately, everyone was around Aife. Well, almost everyone. The girls from behind Aife went over to the two boys that sat on the other side.
"HI!," a loud voice said. Aife's eyes travel up to see a girl with brown hair, styled in a way that reminds her of sausages. "Hello," Aife says in a cold tone. "What school did you come from," a girl with glasses said. "I have been homeschooled my entire life," Aife says back. Still in a cold tone. "Oh my god, that must have been terrible. I was homeschooled for a year because I was helping the poor in Africa, it was terrible." The sausage-haired girl said. Her voice changed in pitch and tone so much it screamed fake." Oh, Lila, you're just the best!" A girl with glasses stated. "Thanks, bestie," Lila says back. " What are your guys' names," Aife says.
After everyone had said their name. The attention was back on Aife. She hated it. After all those years of bad human contact, she has become weary of it.
She knew that no one in this class could have gone through what she had, but pushing through, she listened to what her new classmates wanted to ask her. "Hey, Aife, why do you have a metal arm?" Kim asked. A series of 'Yeahs' went around the room ring throughout Aifes' head. Alix hit Kim over the head saying it could be personal. "It's fine Alix, I lost my arm in a car accident when I was 6" Aife replied.
This was not a complete lie. She did lose it when she was 6. She had a mission to kidnap the Mayor who ran an underground business. The most important task was that the Mayor was to be kept alive at all costs. That cost happened to be Aifes' right arm during the mission.
"Oh, that's terrible," Rose said. "Yeah sorry for asking about something personal," Malena said sweetly. "What happens, happens," Aife replied. "Alright class, I hope you got to know Aife better. Now please return to your seats, we have to start the lesson,"
By the time lunch rolled around Aife was fed up with all of Lila's lies. So she decided to have lunch in the library. Walking into the library and seeing the group of four from the class she musters up the courage and decides to go talk to them. She did promise her father and mother that she would at least try to make friends. "Hey," she said, trying to talk in a more friendly, likable tone. "Oh! Hello, your name is Aife correct? What are you doing here?" The blonde boy asks. "I was wondering if I could have lunch with you guys?" Aife says in a quiet shy voice.

FanficSoulmates are a funny thing. Words on your skin that match another. Aife was no different. The words written on her wrist are 'Two Demons' in Arabic. (I have added this story to Ao3 so if you see it there, that's why)
