Soulmates are a funny thing. Words on your skin that match another. Aife was no different. The words written on her wrist are 'Two Demons' in Arabic.
(I have added this story to Ao3 so if you see it there, that's why)

The month went by quickly, the two talked a lot. After 3 weeks they discussed giving each other their phone numbers each deciding that it was safer to do it in person.
So here Damian and Aife were, emailing each other as Damian sat in his family limo going to the airport to leave for Paris. Damian and Aife were talking about what they would do when they met up at the airport and after.
***
My uncle is coming for dinner today so you'll be meeting him when we get home, probably right before dinner.
***
Very well, we are almost at the airport so I shall talk to you later.
***
Talk to you later Damian, bye
***
Goodbye Fury

In the car was some of the bat fam. Dick, Tim, Jason, Bruse, Cass, Alfred (Who is driving) Selina, Babs and Steph. They all came to see Damian off. While everyone was talking Damian sat in silence as his emailing with Aife came to a stop. Dick noticed how silent his 'baby bat' was and decide to strike up a convocation. "You existed to go back to Paris lil'D?" "Tt, I don't care Grayson." Which was shot down.
Once they arrived at the airport the family said goodbye to Damian as he left to get on the plane with the rest of his class. Damian, like four other people in his class, flew in first class. Much to Damian's dislike, a girl named Sharada Bilo was one of those four.
Sharada has been trying to get with Damian since he first joined the school. She was rich and good-looking by society's standers. Or though by Damians' standers she was hideous. She has always come on strong to any guy she liked. One of them happened to be Damian. The entire flight was spent with her talking about how great she was or how she and Damian were soulmates and he should just kiss her to seal the bond. To say Damian was pissed off 10 minutes into the flight was a massive understatement.
Finally landing, the American class all meet up together and headed to the spot where they would meet up with their pen pals. When they reached where they would be meeting the Paris students they saw a class of happy kids with some parents, holding up signs that had their names on them.
-Damian's POV-
The French class seemed very happy to see mine. How irritating. As I look around for Aife I see the rest of the so-called 'Miraculous squad' meeting their own pen pals. Kent has Lahiffe, who is at least somewhat chill. I continue to look, shortly finding Aife after. "Hello, Fury". I say as I come up to her. "Hey Damian, come on we don't need any of this crowded stuff. My car is in the parking lot let's go home." She replies. "Lead the way"
Once the two got to the car Aife put the stuff in the boot as I got in the back seat. Aife then hopped into the driver's seat. "You can come to the front if you want," She says looking back at me. I looked at her confused. "Are you not too young to drive in Paris?" I ask. "I have tinted windows and have been driving since I was 6. I think we will be fine. Who do you think drives, my friends, around when gorilla can't" She said back. I remember her mentioning this 'gorilla' person. Adrian's driver and bodyguard. "Alright..." I say back getting out of the back to get to the front. I am still not sure about this but what else am I to do? I sit in the front seat and Aife drives off. Once out of the airport Aife starts to talk. "So how was your flight? Any annoying people you would like to rant about" "Tt, just this one hornet. Bilo needs to learn her place" "What did she do? You made her sound bad after two sentences" "She talked about how she is 'oh so perfect or how I and her were differently are soulmates." I say getting angry remembering how simply stupid she is.
-No one POV-
Aife could tell Damian was getting mad. She still needed to tell him some mandatory stuff but she also knows he needs to get some stuff off his chest. "Gezze, guess that was a ruff. Anyway, we need to brief you on the whole Akumas and Halkmoth thing. Plus the hiding spots. I know you already know about this stuff since your last visit, but still here. " Aife says handing him the same pamphlet he got when his brothers came to Paris. "Thank you, Fury" "No problem Damian. Now tell me on the 'would kill' level where is this Bilo person." "10" "Ok, explain why"
The two talked the whole way home. Well, Damian ranted and Aife listened giving quick comments when needed. He soon got on to other people who had irritated him. The two made it to Aife's home and as Aife carried Damian's bags upstairs for the next month, Damian ranted about how annoying his math teacher is. Damian was so comfortable around Aife, he never really noticed. "As much as I would love to hear about how idiotic Mr Waits is we are in your room and I need to start dinner," Aife says cutting off Damian. "I-when- never mind when is dinner?" Damian stumbled out. "Veggie pie, I'll call you down when it is ready my Uncle will be downstairs if you want to introduce yourself before dinner," Aife says walking out of the room. Closing the door behind her.
Damian unpacked his stuff and decide to take a quick nap. He was exhausted from the flight and did not want to be sloppy at dinner. He slept for about an hour before Aife's voice rang out in the house."Damian! Dinner!" He got up and walked downstairs and meet Aife at the bottom. "You unpacked?" Aife asks. "Yes, I did" Damian replies. " Alright, come on then," Aife took Damian through her house to her dining room. The dining room was green white and black, a quite modern themed room. Damian however did not really take in the background. He was too busy by death staring at the man that sat in a chair.
Arthur Curry.
Aquaman.
He was sitting at the dinner table looking at Damian as if he was a ghost. Aife notices this. Of course, she did, but she said nothing on the matter. "Ok, I am going to go get dinner," Aife says leaving the room. "What are you doing here," Damian whispered harshly. "Look relax kid, me Aife meet and we got along so well, she started calling me uncle and I see her as family so chill," Autor said. "Tt, fine," was all Damian said as he sat down directly opposite Arthur.
"Here you go boys," Aife says putting their dinners in front of them. She sat down next to Damian and started eating. "This is delicious Aife," Arthur said. "Thank you, Uncle," Aife said back with a small smile. This made Damian's heart flutter. He was confused. Why would it make him do that? He wounder. "So Uncle how is Mera?" Aife questions. Arthur's face began to turn red. "You shut up missy."
Arthur went home and Damian and Aife had an uneventful night. No Akumas. No fights. No nothing. So Damian and Aife sat down in front of her Tv watching a murder documentary. Well, the two were judging the killer's tactics.
When you have two child assassins you can expect some judging. The two of them had a lovely conovostation on how they would have done it. Changing and chalaging each others staments.
To say the least the two got along really well.
Damian belives the that this trip won't be so bad.
