Roses are red, violets are blue
What would the world be without you?
Our hearts out be darker
The stars not as bright
Your friends, they would cry
Far in to the night
The roses have shriveled, the violets are dead
Go find yourself a new diamond instead
Alone in your heart
And alone in your mind
Narry a person
Who treats you as kind
Love leaves you shattered
And broken inside
It teases you cruelly
And feeds you on lies
The roses are wilted, the violets are fake
Falling in love is such a mistake
Build up stone walls
To hide yourself in
Treat your affection
Like cold-blooded sin
You don't want it in pieces
Your poor fragile heart
So keep it contained
And controlled from the start
If you hide your hearts key
In a top secret place
Then no one can hurt you
Or your pretty face
A fire can grow
And burn you to bits
Unless you have water
To save you from it
Don't ever forget
The true power of hate
And never forget
A young lovers mistake
The roses are wilted
The violets are fake
