The Desert.
Just a few hours from the middle of nowhere, Ned collapsed.
"Why. Is. It. So. Warm?" He said, sinking to the floor.
"Dunno. You're the one who chose to come here."
"I panicked! Or would you have rather been blown up?"
MJ ignored the question and scanned the endless sand, watching a small, cricket-like creature hop around.
"I hope Eddie and Peter are okay..." She checked her phone again. "Still no signal."
"We're in a DESERT. Why would there be a signal?"
"I want to hold out hope, okay? Let's just keep walking. Maybe we'll find someone soon."

The City.
Peter continued to look at his phone.
"Kid, calm down. They'll be okay. The bomb won't have hurt them."
"Shouldn't they be back by now then?"
"Maybe they got lost. And wherever they are, they're probably a whole lot safer than us."
He gestured to the window, which overlooked the black void of space.
"Those people know their faces now. How are they safer than us? What if the reason they haven't called is that they've been taken?"
His phone buzzed.
"MJ..."
Peter pressed answer and was greeted by two people grinning like maniacs under bright, blue light.
"Hey, Peter!" They waved, and Ned complained, "It's like, so warm here dude."
"Yeah, but we're coming home now. On a plane heading to the US. Lucky, huh?"
Peter nodded, pulling the phone closer to his face. "We're on a spaceship. The other one's taking off tomorrow. You need to get on it."
"And why's that?" MJ fixed her hair.
"Because it's not safe for us to be on Earth right now. So we're all going away. But we can still research the Nobodies from up here, and we'll be able to get back home soon!"
"Okay....?" She looked above the screen. "Landing like, now. See you tomorrow!"
They waved and Peter glanced at Eddie. "We can go back...right?"
