Chapter 3: A New Step

I opened the book and read what was in it.
Y/n; "Apparently I'm some sort of upper level being." Ink tilts his skull to his right.

Ink; "Does that mean your like a deity?"
Y/n; "No nothing like that. the book says; "In the beginning of time and space, before the multiverse ever existed. There was a (Guardian) a being that was meant to explore and create the multiverse, and a (Destroyer) a fearsome monster with an instinct to eradicate and corrupt all that is good."

Ink; "I'm what the book said to be a Guardian, but what does this have to say with you?"

Y/n; "Well. "With the birth of light and darkness there is one who that remains neutral. With no thought to help or destroy. They are the one to keep both sides in ballence."

Ink; "That means...your a protector of the multiverse!" Y/n; "No I'm a keeper of balance not a guardian of the multiverse and quit shouting!"

Chronicle Sans; "I'm very Sorry Y/n, Ink just gets carried away when he's around strong fighters."

Ink looks at me with glowing eyes. Ink; "Hey Neutral, will you spar with me sometime?" Ink wants to fight me huh?

Y/n; "I thought you weren't a fighter?"
Ink; "What makes you say that?"
Y/n; "Well back in that other place you were not as excited as you are now." Ink closes his eyes and folds his arms.

Ink; "Well my personality was different back in the Omega Timeline. You had just appeared out of no where and you didn't know your own name or even what you are, so I felt kind of bad for you and decided to let you collect yourself.

Y/n; "Oh, Well sense I know my name and what I am now. I guess it would be okay to spar for a little bit."

Ink; "Yaayyy!"

Ink seems to be a little childish. Chronicle Sans; "Well Y/n do you have a place to stay?" Y/n; "No actually I don't."

Chronicle Sans; "You can stay here as long as you like." Chronicle Sans pulls out a few books from the shelves in the walls and hands them to me. I read the covers of the books and learn that they are books on how to teleport, magic control, how to sense magic and a book of offense/defense magic.

Chronicle Sans; "These will help you get around in the multiverse. Its a big and danger place out there, especially in the (Fell) universes.

Y/n; "What are the (Fell) universes?"
Ink; "Have you ever heard of hell?"
Y/n; "Okay I get it now." Ink chuckles and slaps my back. Ink; "Let me know when you finish those books alright, that way we can spar.

Y/n; "It's going to be a few hours Ink, but I'll teleport to you when i'm ready." Ink gives me a salut and teleports away. Chronicle leaves me alone in the lobby. I found a place to sit and read the books. They're very interesting, so many spells and techniques to learn. I wonder if I be able to remember all of this?

Many hours pass.

I have finished reading all the books. Y/n "Man that was a lot of knowledge, but now to test my new skills." i place 2 fingers on my forehead and sense for someones Magicka. (Kind of like Goku does with instant transmission.) I found 2 Magicka signatures. There is an energetic one and one thats more calm and relaxed both of the signatures are pretty close by.

Y/n; "Okay just focus." Suddenly the area around me changes. Instead of books shelves there are trees. Very tall trees, they look like pine trees. There is also snow all around me. I hear someone coming up from behind me. As quick as possible I spin around and prepare a fire ball.

Girl; "Woow take it easy there pal."

Its a girl in a green jacket with her hood up. She's wearing brown pants with black ankle height boots.

Girl; "Ya know I'm surprised a human possesses magic. Who are you?" Y/n; "The names Y/n and I'm not a human. Now who are you?"

The girl gives a small grin and reaches out her hand to shake mine. Girl; "The names Chara. Its a pleasure to meet you, and if your not a monster then what are you?"

Y/n; "To be honest I'm still not really sure myself, I'm some kind a keeper of the balance."

Chara; *Giggles* "A keeper of balance what do you mean?"
Y/n; "Have you heard of a skeleton named Ink?" Her face changes from a smile to a more serious face.

Chara; "Oh so you a guardian."
Y/n; "No not at all. I'm the guy who keeps the balance between Guardians and Destroyers."

Chara; "Why not let the Guardian be above the Destroyer. It would make life a lot better."

Y/n; "Because then this world as you know it will crumble and disappear. People who have died in the pass will come back to life. Demons will crawl from the cracks of hell and the angles will fall from the Heavens.

Chara; "Oh so if there is no balance between good and evil then everything turns to chaos?"
Y/n; "Yes."

Chara looks at me with curiosity. Chara; "How come I only heard of you until now?"

Y/n; "Well has the balance ever been disturb?"
Chara; "Yah Error tried to destroy the entire multiverse last week."

Y/n; "That is probably what woke me up."

Chara; "Woke you up, have you been sleeping on the job this whole time?" Chara curls up her right eye brow.
Y/n; "Listen it's not like that. I haven't been around for the longest time because my job did not exist at the time. It was only till Error decided to try and destroy the multiverse. That's when the guys up stairs decides to make me.
