Amber's P.O.V.

Louis and I walked through the jet bridge and came out on the other side. The flashing of hundreds of cameras blinded me. Reporters crowded us and we pushed our way through. They shouted questions at us and the cameras were up in our faces.

I saw Chelsea bolting toward me and I pulled her into my arms. My parents appeared through the crowd and ran over to me. Tears were running down both of their faces.

I looked over to see Louis surrounded by his sisters. Eleanor rushed toward him and he pulled her into an embrace.

The cameras continued clicking and flashing. "Can we go home?" I asked my parents. My dad nodded. Louis and Eleanor walked over hand in hand. "Thanks for the plane," Louis said to my dad. My dad smiled and gave him a nod. My parents led all of us away from the gate.

When I got home, I walked down the hallway and stood in the doorway of my old bedroom. My parents had left it how it was before the crash. My full-size bed still had the same blue and green bedspread. The walls were still plastered with posters. I walked over to my closet, and all of my clothes were still hanging up.

For some reason, tears welled up in my eyes.

When I walked out of my room, I wiped a few tears from my eyes and made my way to the living room. Mom, dad, and Chelsea were all sitting on the couch. I took a seat on the recliner.

"Louis and his family are staying at a hotel in town," my mom said. "They're staying here for a few days because you guys have some press conferences and interviews coming up," my dad told me.

I told them everything-The crash, Louis saving me, when I got sick from the contaminated water, how hungry and exausted we were, when Louis got sick, and how we jumped into the ocean to be rescued.

"To think your daughter is dead and then hearing their voice on the phone. You couldn't even imagine how it felt," my mom said, holding back tears. "I thought about making that call all the time, I just never thought I'd get to," I said.
