"The court hereby finds Mr. John Smith guilty of all charges!" The courtroom erupted with cheers as the gavel found its way to the pad. The suspect's party was more than disappointed with the verdict but couldn't do much so they dealt with it by throwing spiteful looks at the other party.

A dark-skinned man, who seemed to be one of the subjects for trial, parted from the cheering crowd and walked towards a tall pale skinned woman with ash blonde hair. The man was wearing a black suit with a red tie. He smiled at her with teary eyes.

"I will be forever indebted to you Atty. Craige." The man said with a voice filled with joy.

"It was an honor to serve you, Mr. Dawson," Evelyn replied giving him a warm smile.

"How can I ever repay you?" He asked recalling that his lawyer never accepted any form of payment.

"Live, make good choices, and tell your story to the world."

Mr. Dawson's eyes lit up as he was speechless by the thought. He gently bowed his head and went back to his family. Evelyn took in the scene before her when she realized someone was looking at her. Throwing daggers perhaps. As she turned her head towards the person, her whole demeanor changed in a blink. It was the lawyer of the other party. Meeting Evelyn's eyes, he trembled but couldn't avert his gaze when he caught a subtle sinister smile plastered on her face. The contact, however, was cut short when a sweet and rather cheery voice spoke behind Evelyn.

"So you're the famous Evelyn Craige." Evelyn turned to see an auburn-haired woman whose emerald eyes shined under the courtroom lights.

"And you are?" she asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Oh, where are my manners." the woman who seemed to be in her 20s extended her hand. "Rebecca Lane. I go to Harvard." Evelyn only looked at her hand and plainly replied, "I see."

"Dr. John Lane told me about you. Some prodigy you are, I see." Rebecca smiled.

Evelyn didn't reply, instead gathered her things and walked towards the door where Rebecca followed behind.

"He told me to tell you that you should swing by the university, he wanted to talk to you."

Hearing no reply, "Not much of a talker outside the bar are we? That's fine. Anyways see you around Atty. Craige." She waved and left which offered Evelyn a room for relief.

Evelyn is a third-year student from Cambridge University but was given a special invite to assist the world-renowned lawyer from Harvard, Dr. John Lane who happened to be Rebecca's father.

Driving her way to the campus she managed to find Dr. Lane's office.

"Ah, well if it isn't the prodigy of Cambridge! Welcome, my dear." Dr. Lane was had dark reddish hair and had the same emerald eyes as Rebecca. He was a tall man in his mid-40s with a bright smile drawn on his face. He was known as the Court Jester for his entertaining demeanor. He knows how to lighten the atmosphere which is a trick he uses to catch the guilty off guard.

He's one to fear on his own, but the case he has at hand was a bit heavy and has so much on his plate. Yes, he does have students assisting him with the other cases but he has a special case where he needs Evelyn's help.

With regards to Evelyn's skills, she has been assisting her professors in the courtroom since her first year at the university. Even in high school, colleges were already eyeing her as her father was also a world-renowned lawyer.

"Now, my dear. If you don't mind, why didn't you choose Harvard?"

"My father works in England and I had to assist him in most cases he handled even as a high school student. We moved there and I enrolled in Cambridge."
