Years have now passed and the little bundles of joy have become "annoying toddlers of chaos", or that's how Eliot would put it.
"Uncle Eliiii! We want more chocolates, pleaase!" the little girl in white dress pleaded with her uncle. She put up the cutest pout and puppy dog eyes in an attempt to convince him to give them what they wanted.
"Chocolates, uncle Eli. Chocolates." The little boy in a white jumper tugged his shirt and went along his sister's act. They both had droopy eyes and cute button noses. They had fair skin and raven black hair. They had eyes dipped in honey and heart-shaped lips. The perfect combination for irresistible babies.
Eliot was now in a situation where he feels like he is being held at gunpoint. One wrong move and they might throw a tantrum. He cautiously reached for his pocket and was petrified when he realized he didn't have any chocolate.
"Dammit! I don't have anything left!" He frantically searched the room for help as the air was getting thinner for him. Thankfully CC walked in and immediately he pointed at her. "Your aunt CC has them!" The kids turned their heads at the confused CC and it was all the time Eliot needed to run away. Both kids then rushed to their aunt and pulled the same act. CC knows full well the situation she's in and didn't have a choice but to give in.
"I swear to God, Eliot, I will castrate you later for this. So much for spoiling them." she thought to herself. She reached for her pocket and thankfully had two left. The kids' eyes twinkled when they saw two rectangular bars in brown wrappers. CC was about to hand it over to them when it was immediately snatched by Evelyn. The kids wailed but immediately shut up when they saw who it was. They immediately shifted their puppy dog eyes to their mother.
"Stop bothering your aunt," Evelyn ordered in a strict voice.
"But-but mommy. We just wanted some chocolates." Betty made sure to sob. When Joe didn't say anything, she nudged him with her elbow, pulling him out of his daze.
"Y-yes mommy. Just one." he held out two fingers, but immediately closed the middle finger.
Evelyn nodded at CC, signaling her that she can leave. The blonde wasted no time looking for Eliot balling her fists. Evelyn then sighed and squatted down to meet her children's eyes.
"You are well aware that your mama wouldn't like it and she limited you to only have one," she told them with a softened expression.
"Yes, mommy! That's why we asked aunt CC." Betty did all the talking hoping they might get away with it.
"You know mommy hates liars, right?" the kids immediately lowered their heads as they were caught in the act. "I've seen the both of you go about asking your aunts and uncles for chocolates. And I also know you are aware that they will easily give in." Evelyn held them firmly and looked up as if thinking. "So let's see, I saw you with your Aunt Beccy two hours ago, an hour later to your uncles Donny (Brandon) and Vonny (Devon) then aunt Lili, and a couple more from your uncle Gregy," she eyed them and raised an eyebrow.
"S-sowwy, mommy," Both said in unison and Evelyn knows they mean it when they revert to their baby voice. Their heads were still lowered and they gripped their clothes tightly, afraid she might tell Eliza about their scheme. "But, since it was mommy who caught you and since it's your birthday, I will let you off, this one time only." Their faces lit up as soon as Evelyn gave them the minibars. "Thank woo, mommy!" they said in unison and hugged their mother before running off hand in hand. Evelyn couldn't help but smile at them. Well, it seems that the feared demon of the courthouse has another soft spot for her children.
"I saw that," Eliza said with arms crossed. Evelyn stood up and turned to her. "Saw what?" she asked with an innocent look, making her way to her wife.
