"Ev-" The woman spoke but was cut off by her daughter.

"I-I'm sorry. I have to go." That was all Evelyn said before turning her back and walking away quickly. How is this possible? Her emotions are a mess, since when did she lose control over them.

"Evelyn!" She heard her mother call but ignored it and walked even faster. She ignored everyone around her until she managed to call a cab that drove her back to the hotel. Entering their room, Eliza was out of sight. She sighed in relief as she didn't want anyone to see her in a messy state.

Evening came and the group had finally arrived. Upon entering the room Eliza noticed that the lights were off. Clicking them on she was startled to see a figure sitting by the window.

"Gosh Eve, you scared me." she chuckled. But her smile soon vanished when she noticed something off with her lover.

"Eve? Are you alright?" Once her palm made contact with Evelyn's shoulder, the older woman flinched before finally turning around with her head hanging down. She stood up without a word and just went to the bathroom leaving Eliza confused and worried. After a couple of minutes, she got out and directly went to bed. "I brought dinner. Would you like to eat?" Eliza asked with a saddened voice.

She walked closer to Evelyn, who was lying on the bed turning away from her. "Eve, what happened? Please, tell me what's wrong." But she earned no reply. She didn't want to push further, afraid that she might trigger something that could make the situation worse.

"Okay. If you need anything, just tell me, okay?" Before sitting down on the chair to begin her sketches. The night had gone pretty fast as the birds were now chirping as they bathed in the morning sun.

"So how is she?" Albert asked the younger woman who appeared sleepless.

"I don't know. I tried talking to her and every time I touch her she flinches." She explained trying to fight her sleepiness.

"I don't know what you called me in for, but I don't know if I could be of any help." Albert scratched the back of his neck looking away.

"Well, there's got to be something you could do. It's so unlikely of her to flinch and be in such a state."

"I think I could help with that." Magnus came in to join them. "I've known her for quite some time and as a detective, well I'm pretty picky with my friends. I did ask a few servants in the house-"

"Wait, why?" Albert asked in confusion.

"Because that's where she went yesterday."

"How'd you know?"

"Well one of the butlers is my cousin and he's a pretty chatty lad." Magnus smiled at him. "May I?" He asked turning to Eliza to which the young woman could only nod in agreement. The pair then left Magnus to talk with Evelyn. They went outside and Albert began to wonder.

"Why would she go there without me?"

"I should be asking you the same question." Eliza shrugged.

"Hmm, that's unlikely of her." And then it dawned on him. "Triggered."

"What?" She turned her head to look at him.

"She went to the house, something must have triggered her memories there that resulted in this." Albert pointed out.

"What could it be then?" Before he could answer, Magnus walked out of the room.

"So what did she say?" The pair leaned forward.

"Uhm, nothing actually. She was just staring into oblivion." Magnus sighed.

"Well ain't that something." Albert stepped back and crossed his arms over his chest.
