Luka Urban looked at himself in the mirror. He tried to figure out what the missing piece to his outfit was. He was wearing a nice and expensive suit for a fancy party he was supposed to attend. He had black pants with a black vest. His button up shirt was red to match his girlfriend's ruby dress. He didn't feel comfortable in these clothes, but due to his position of power, this became part of the norm.
"I'm missing a tie," he whispered. He went to his drawer and opened it. He had quite the collection of ties thanks to his girlfriend. Once he became a world military leader and she found out that parties like this were going to be the usual, she bought him a closet full of nice outfits. She had a blast doing that while he just went along.
"I'm almost done," yelled Ruby Patel from the bathroom. "How about you?"
"Almost done," he yelled back. "Just need the finishing touch," he whispered to himself as he pulled out a bow tie. Behind the bow tie he spotted the one tie he actually chose to buy himself. It was a black tie with a red dragon sigil from his favorite fantasy show. It would go perfectly with his outfit.
He went to the mirror and tied his tie around his neck. He straightened the tie then his outfit. He was right, the tie went perfectly with his outfit. While the suit itself isn't him, the tie was. It represented his personality and it brought a smile to his face.
"Done," said Ruby as she stood like a model by the doorway.
Luka whistled when he saw Ruby in her long ruby dress with no shoulders.
"Right," she said as she did a little twirl. "I look hot."
"Yes you do," said Luka as he went to her and gave her a kiss. "But you always do."
She smiled as she looked up at him, but her smile turned to a frown when her sight came down to his tie. "Seriously Luka? You picked that tie to wear." She walked away and went to the mirror to admire herself.
"What's wrong with the tie? It matches perfectly with the outfit."
"You know what's wrong with the tie."
"It's me."
"No it's not," said Ruby as she went to the drawer and pulled out the bow tie he originally held. "You're not a child. You're a world military leader and you need to dress like one." She went over to him and put out an open hand. "Now take it off."
Luka had a pout on his face, but took off his tie and handed it over. She tossed the tie on the bed and began to tie the bow tie around his neck. "You need to grow up. You can't be dressing like a child for these types of events."
"That doesn't make me childish. It represents my personality."
"Which is childish and you need to stop. When you do stuff like that, you embarrass yourself and me. Now there," she said as she finished and took a step back. She pushed him to the mirror and stood behind him so he could look at himself. "Now that looks like a world military leader."
Luka stared at himself and even he could admit he looked good, professional. He didn't smile until he looked at Ruby in the mirror. He turned to face her. "You're right," he said. "I look better like this."
"I know I'm right." They shared a kiss. "Now let's go. We're already running late."

Luka and Ruby entered the party and everyone stopped to look at them. They were quite the lovely couple. Everyone greeted them as they made their way around the party. An hour had passed when they actually got some time to themselves.
