Today was the day my chemistry class actually got to do experimenting, but another class had to merge with ours cause i heard the other chem teacher was accused of sleeping with a student so they had no teacher at the moment and would be with ours for the time being.

When the other class walked in there were already people who spotted their friends greeting and starting conversation. Then i saw maddy walk in with her freshly painted nails and an annoyed look on her face that says damn that teacher for being a perv cause she didn't want to be here.

"Ok i'm going to need everyone to settle down, and since there are so many of you we are going to do seating arrangements!" Mrs.Hendricks stated getting out her clip board the rest of the class was not pleased with the in synchronized boos they threw at her. "yeah yeah well i don't want to do this either but here we are" she says rolling her eyes. After getting most of the students in their assigned seats i notice maddie was the only one without a seat partner and then i too was damming that perv of a teacher. "Miss Perez you'll sit by mr.Zurzel" mrs.Hendricks said pointing to the empty stool next to me.

I didn't even look to see maddie's reaction just looking forward not sparing her a look till she spoke "hey" a simple hey is all she said as if she didn't tell me to fuck off and jump from a bridge the first time we saw each other, but i was just being dramatic i knew that. "hey" i say back to her turning my head in her direction then back to the front, and that's how it was for the rest of the class.

Walking out of chem i see nate leaning on the lockers on his phone then maddy brush past me walking over to him. He doesn't even look up from his phone or say anything just takes her hand and they leave. I don't know why i've been observing their relationship so much i'm starting to come off as a weirdo "Lorenzo!" I turn my head to see rue walking towards me waving "hey rue" i say starting to walk down the hall rue in tow with me "you coming by the store today" she asks as we walk through the double doors to the outside "uh i don't know i gotta drive my sister home and i gotta do some work tonight" i tell her walking to my car that came over the weekend. "That's cool...so can i just come over to yours?" she asks kicking her feet on the ground i look at her confused cause she's never asked to come over. "i thought you were gonna hang with jules?" i ask pulling out my keys.

"Yeah she's been constantly talking about this Tyler guy that i just really don't feel like listening about so can i just come over please?" she asks looking defeated on the jules situation now i could just say no but i'm not that heartless so i give in "yeah ok you can come we just got to wait a bit for my sister" i tell her opening the driver door "yeah that's cool" walking over to the passenger side she throws her bag in and hopes in. Seeing junnie walk out i start the car "hey whose this?" she asks getting in the car "junnie rue, rue junnie" i introduce them pulling out the parking lot.

"Mom we're home!" June yells as we walk through the door "come on before they see you then assume we're dating" i whisper to rue running up the stairs. once we're in my room i hurry and close it "nice room" rue says looking around "thanks i just got done fixing it up over the weekend." i say as she collapses on my bed as i go over to my desk, "so you like jules right?" i ask plainly turning on some low music as background noise. seeing rue sit up on my bed looking at me shocked i shrug my shoulders "it's obvious i just want to hear you say it" i say laying on the floor.

"Fuck is it really that noticeable?" she asks groaning laying back on the bed "yeah" i say simply "well yeah i like her i've been clean from doing drugs for two weeks now because of her" rue states as a matter of fact "holy shit rue really?" i ask shocked because for a known fact rue is one of the biggest druggies i know "yeah it's true and then as a award i get to hear how in love she is with that Tyler guy" rue says in a disgusted tone "well i say you just tell her how you feel" i say as if it's the most obvious thing to do.
"Are you Fucking stupid lorenzo?" she asks sitting up to look at me like i just said the most retarted thing she's heard, sitting up as well from my place on the floor i give her a bored look "no are you?" i ask her not breaking eye contact "damn you have a really good like death stare goin on almost pissed myself." she says rolling my eyes i lay back on the floor, and that's how it went for the night till it was time for her to go home without my parents seeing her of course.

It was the next day walking into chem and maddy was there before me. Walking over to my seat i set my bag down on the floor not saying anything but it's hard to ignore the eyes i feel lingering on the side of my head. Turning to my side i see maddy just looking at me like she's trying to figure something out "mmhmm" i clear my throat trying to get her attention "so Lorenzo your like from Italy right?" she asks not looking away "yeah" i say answering her question. "so why would you move to America i mean it's America?" she asks i smile at her words i can tell that gesture shocked her a bit "yeah well it wasn't really my choice it's because of my dad wanting to "expand" his business." i tell her putting quotes on expand, "and what is it your father does" she asks leaning on her hand i'm still shocked she's even talking to me right now.

"He has his own construction business" i say seeing maddy nod her head satisfied with the information she's got she turns her attention back to the work we are supposed to be doing. walking out of class i feel a tap on my shoulder looking down to see maddy. "Are you going to the carnival tonight?" she asks her head tilted to the side, but before i could even answer someone calls her name looking over it's nate jacobs leaning on those damn lockers "see ya" was all she said before walking over to nate and taking his hand walking away shaking my head i look to see rue. "so there a carnival tonight?" i ask starting to walk beside her "yeah you going?" she asks as we walk to the double doors leading outside "yeah" was all i said as we walk to the parking lot.
