This is gonna be a story filler for the following next chapter so this one is gonna be shorter still tryna figure out where this story is gonna head brain kinda bonkers at the moment 😵‍💫

Halloween was over and it would be right back to school, but rue called me that same night telling me tyler the guy who apparently fucked maddy in the pool at mckays had just gotten booked into jail for assault and thought it had to involve nate so she decided to play detective and wanted my help, and of course i agreed to the opportunity to get dirt on nate.

"Howard,Zurzel let's roll" following rue and lexi into the school like a detective squad that came straight out of a t.v series i Hear the morning announcements and almost gagged when they said we all owe nate jacobs a heart felt apology what a load of shit.

"why would jules help nate?" lexi asked as we just totally blended into the background i mean seriously does the teacher not see this? watching nate turn around i fix my fedora glaring at him, yeah just you wait you mouth breather i'm sherlock fucking holmes and this is the beginning of your downfall. "unless jules is in love with nate" rue said lighting her cigarette with a match "why would jules be in love with nate?" i ask you confused leaning on the sink "listen to me it makes since" rue said looking like a maniac "rue your cigarettes are killing me" lexi groaned "listen the night of the carnival she said she was gonna meet up with this jock very conservative guy but never seen his face they had been texting for weeks but not just texting they were sexting sending nudes all that, and clean room nice dick by the way." she says blowing out a cloud of smoke.

"Yeah i don't care about his dick" i said rolling my eyes. "Right anyway he never showed that night so they rescheduled the meet and when they did meet i asked her about it guess what she said?" rue asked looking like her eyes were gonna burst "what" me and lexi said in unison.

"He didn't look like his pictures" rue stated "that's the literal definition of catfish" lexi said still trying to catch onto rues theories while i stood their putting my own pieces together from that night i look up at rue with a smile "Bennett you're a genius" i said pointing at her "i know" she said then we all walked out the bathroom.

Getting home later that day i got a text from maddy.

maddy💗: Lorenzo i need to talk to you about the party can we meet?

Me: i can't meet tonight my dad is having some guests over but i'll call you when it's over

maddy💗: ok then

Over at maddy's house reading the text back from him she felt terrible i mean sure she couldn't give one fuck about how a guy would feel if she hurt them but with lorenzo she knew she fucked up and was honestly not sure she even deserved him because the only love she's known was nate she thought that's all she needed but meeting lorenzo really made her question herself and she didn't know if she liked that.

My dad was gonna have some guests over for dinner related to business stuff i didn't want to go but apparently his guest was bringing his kids so we had to be there. knocking on junes door to see if she was ready yet she opens the door in a heap " i do not want to do this" she said frowning at me "yeah neither do i but it's better to get it over with" i told her reassuringly walking down to the kitchen i see my mom prepping the table " ok guys i want you to be on your best behavior and be respectful." she said setting down plates "when are we not?" i ask and she just looks at me "we will mom promise" junnie speaks up from beside me.

Just in time when my dad walked down stairs the door bell ringed. Seeing him open the door i can't really see the man's he's greeting till he gestures for them to come in but when i they do i'm fully regretting not just sneaking out and going over to rues to help more with the investigation, but now i had the enemy in my fucking house.  

seeing nate walk in behind his dad we make eye contact immediately and i'm sure you could image the tension "hello it is very nice to meet you all please come sit" my mother puts on her best hostess voice and i could just tell this dinner was gonna go bad or good but i doubt good.
