{Hale's POV}
I sat there alone, with the sound of my sobs as the only noise, for what felt like hours, but was only ten minutes. There was a faint sound of footsteps getting louder as they became closer causing my tears to slow down. As they stopped I kept my head in my hands, with my eyes sealed shut trying to stop my tears completely. "I still love you." My mum told me.
I sniffled then picked up my head after a few seconds and looked straight ahead of me. But she wasn't there. Someone tapped shoulder, I looked to my right and saw my mum sitting next to me. I stifled a laugh and she smiled. Neither of us spoke, I just stared at her. Not in a weird way, I examined her.
Her hair is wavy like mine but cut into a bob. She has blue eyes like mine, but more of a light sky blue while mine are a bright blue like Zooey Deschanel's. Other then her eyes we both have an identical jaw line. All my other features I got from my dad. I have the same normal sized nose, plump light pink lips, and regular sized ears.
She looked at me in the eyes and didn't say anything. Her eyes weren't filled with disappointment or sadness, I'm not sure what emotion they were. "I'm really sorry mum." I admitted for what felt like the hundredth time after these past few days. "Stop apologising. You sound so much like your father." My mum joked.
She hasn't really brought up my father much since the funeral. But it's nice to talk about him. "Remember that one time he broke the vase while you weren't home, then went out and bought one like it?" I asked and she laughed thinking about the memory. "I didn't even notice it was a new one and at dinner he felt so guilty that he must of apologised at least thirty times in two minutes." My mum admitted.
We sat there for about twenty minutes reminiscing about my dad. Telling story after story, laughing at all of them. By the time I said my last story I didn't even notice Liam leaning against the door frame smiling whilst watching us. I waved him over then watched as he walked towards us.
"It's time for us to go for our meeting." Liam informed me. I groaned while standing up then extended my hand out to my mum. "I'm 42 not 102 I can't get myself up." She joked earning a giggle from Liam and I. "My family wants to talk to you before we go." Liam told me. I bit my bottom lip and nodded.
As I walked back into the living room I started to feel very self conscious and nervous. Mrs. Payne and I were close before Liam went to the X-Factor. My parents and Liam's parents stayed close but whenever they invited me to go out with them I would make up an excuse not to go. They always reminded me so much of Liam that it hurt.
All four pairs of eyes watched me as I sat back down on the couch where I was recently sitting. I didn't say anything and kept my eyes on my fingers. "So I guess I'm going to be an aunt." Ruth mumbled, probably to herself. "Can I be the god-mother?" Nicola asked sounding excited. I looked over at her and let out a small giggle. "Maybe, Liam has to help with that decision." She sighed then leaned back on the couch.
"We are happy for you two." Mrs. Payne assured me. I looked towards her and she had a genuine grin spread across her lips. The corners of my lips slightly perked up into a smile as I nodded. "Thank you and we would really like you all to be in the baby's life." They all simply smiled and nodded. Well this is awkward. "At least he is having a baby with you and not some random girl he met at a bar." Mr. Payne said causing everyone to chuckle.
"I'm sorry for all of this. For causing Liam to grow up even faster then he already is." I said after everyone stopped. All their eyes landed on me again. I didn't look at anyone, I just kept my eyes on my shoes. "Don't be sorry. That's just how life works, it has it's twists and turns but you just have to keep going with it." Mrs. Payne told me. I shrugged not making a sound. "Everything will be okay. You have us, Liam, your mum, and your friends. If you ever need us give us a ring." Mr. Payne assured me. I nodded then stood up. "Thank you. I'll see you all soon." I waved goodbye then walked outside to Liam and my mum.
As I reached them Liam wrapped his arm around my waist. "I'm so happy you two are finally together. It felt likeliest yesterday Haley told me she likes you. I've been waiting forever for this to happen." I giggled then wrapped my arms around Liam. "Wait, your mum knew you liked me but she didn't tell my mum?" Liam asked pulling me away a little to look me in the eyes. I nodded. "I made her promise not to tell anyone." His cheeks turned a light red as he said "I did the same with my mum." My mum and I looked at each other and burst out laughing. "It's not that funny." Liam pouted while crossing his arms.
Once I decomposed myself and was breathing normally I said "Your right. I'm sorry." He smiled then pulled me into a hug. "Well we better go." Liam whispered into my ear. I sighed then let go and hugged my mum goodbye.
As we arrived at the Syco building my breathing became un-even. Even the building looks intimidating, it's huge. A hand grabbed mine and there's only one person with me, so it has to be Liam. I looked over at him and smiled. "We can do this. We told our families, so we can tell Simon." He confirmed. All I could do was nod.
We walked into the lift and went up to Simon's floor. As we walked up to the front desk the same women that was here when I came here for the first time is sitting behind the desk staring intensely at the computer screen. "Hi, we're here for a meeting with Simon." The lady looked up from what she was doing and smiled at us. She looks about 33 years old, has dirty blonde hair, brown eyes, and is thin with a small chest. "Hello, he is expecting you. Go down the hall and its the last door on the right." We both nodded then walked down the hall hand in hand.
{Liam's POV}
This is the most nervous I have ever seen Hale in the five years I've known her. I was only with her for two of them, but you know what I mean. She looks like she is about to pass out. Her fair skin looks even more pale then usual, and her eyes are full of terror and worry. I gently squeezed her hand and she looked over at me. She smiled as she looked at me then her eyes flickered to the door then back at me.
"I'm scared." Hale whispered. I wrapped my arms around her waist then rested my forehead on hers as she put her arms around my neck. "Don't be. I'll be by your side the entire time." She opened her mouth to speak but nothing came out so she sighed. I kissed her lips lightly then released my arms from around her. I rapped my knuckles on the door then heard Uncle Simon's deep voice call out "Come in."
We both sat down in a chair next to each other in front of Uncle Simon's desk. "So what do you need to tell me?" He asked while leaning back in his chair. I looked over at Hale, she looks like she's going to pass out any second. I reached over to grab her hand, and once our hands touch she regained a bit on colour. "Something big has happened between Hale and I recently." I informed him. He scrunched his eyebrows together and continued to stare at us. "Hale is pregnant." I told him and his eyes widened. "I would expect this from the other lads, but not from you Liam." He said half-serious with a smile. Hale giggled while I left slightly insulted. "That's what Louis said to." I mumbled causing him to break into a fit of laughter and Hale joining in moments later.
Why is everyone laughing at me lately? I got a girl pregnant, so what? Well I'm supposed to be the responsible mature one, so I guess that's why.
"So you're not mad?" I asked once him and Hale calmed down. He shook his head causing Hale and I to smile. "So can Hale come on tour with us? I don't want to leave without her." I admitted sheepishly. His facial expression became serious after I said that.
"Under one condition." We both nodded and kept our eyes on him. "Hale you have to tell Liam your secret." What secret? I turned my attention towards her, she had her eyebrows knitted together as she looked at him. "The one from five years ago." Her eyes widened knowingly as she shook her head. "I c-can't." She stammered but Simon sat there stubbornly staring at her with his hands resting entwined together on his desk. What are they talking about? What isn't Hale telling me? We never have kept secrets from each other. "You have to tell him." Simon insisted.
Hale sighed then turned to me. Her eyes were full of tears about to spill over any second, her bottom lip trembling, and cheeks more pale then they ever have been. "What's wrong? What aren't you tell me?" I questioned her. A tear escaped from her eye and rolled down her cheek. I softly wiped it away with my thumb and continued to brush her cheek as she stared down at our hands that are still laced together. "When I left the X-Factor I messed up my song on purpose." She admitted and my eyes widened. "Hale why would you do that? You're an amazing singer!" I tried to convince her but she shook her head, then placed her hand over mine that was on her cheek and pulled it down and continued to keep her eyes glued on them. "I left because I wanted you to win."
