A Forgotten Memory (Liam Payne Fan Fiction) Under Editing

Chapter 23

{Liam's POV}

I feel terrible for leaving Hale, but Louis messed up a part of the surprise I have planned for Hale. I should've stayed with and had just the boys and Mandy go. But if I stayed they probably would've messed it up even more.

Her expression when I told her I can't tell her felt like someone dropped a cinder block on my foot. I've never kept secrets from her, never. But this surprise is to big to spoil. She said it was okay, but I know it's not. Her eyes were filling with tears, and her lower lip was slightly trembling.

"Li, why did we have to go?" Niall asked breaking me away from my thoughts. "All the instructions for everything are in every language except English." I informed them as I pulled up to our flat building. "It's so cute how you're building a nursery in your flat for Haley and the baby." Mandy complimented me causing my cheeks to blush a little. "I thought you two were moving into Haley's place?" Harry asked as we walked into the elevator up to my floor. "Well, I couldn't keep her away from her place for a long enough time period to finish everything. So we're building it here, and and since you guys live here to I can get your help." I told them with a bright smile.

As we walked into my flat there were open and closed boxes, and instructions all over the place. But Lou and Iz are no where in sight. "Louis? Izzie? Where are you?" Zayn called out while picking up a sheet of paper, which is probably instructions. "We're in the guest- I mean nursery!" Louis screamed at the top of his lungs, which wasn't necessary. We all walked into the new nursery and saw pieces to the crib spread out on the floor on the left side of the room, and pieces to the changing table on the right side. It's surprisingly very neat.

"Louis, do you know any Spanish, French, or....Polish?" Izzie asked with her back turned towards us and her kneeling down in front of the crib. "If I knew any of those don't you think we would've started this by now?" He snapped at her while his back was towards her and kneeling in front of the changing table. When Louis is under pressure he gets very... lets just say grouchy. "Don't sass me boy!" She snapped back at him.

The rest of us stood there amused at what was happening in front of us. Harry fake coughed just as Louis opened his mouth to say something back. They both turned their heads towards us and let out a sigh of relief. "Thank god you guys are here." Louis said as he fell dramatically on his back. "Mandy and Zayn you help Izzie, Harry and Niall you help Louis, and I'll go call Hale." They all nodded and did as I instructed.

I watched them all work for a second then looked at the walls. They painted them a soft pastel yellow with white trimming, white shelves with stuffed animals on them, and pictures of Hale and I when we were younger. I walked out of the room and called Hale. It's rang a few times until she answered.

"Hey is everything okay with Louis and Izzie?"

"Yeah, they're fine. They just got into a predicament."

"Oh okay."

The line went quiet for a minute. Then I heard typing of keys.

"Are you writing?"

She giggled and didn't answer for a second.

"Uh yeah. Sorry I nodded. Do you mind if I call you later?"

"Yeah sure. Love you."

"Love you to."

I hung up and let out a sigh of relief. At least she got distracted from the surprise. As I walked back into the nursery I noticed both of the groups have started.

By the time we finished it's half 5, the crib was against one wall on the left, the changing table across from it on the right, a big white cushioned chair in the right corner, and a dresser against the wall across from the door. There's a mobile with zoo animals on it hanging over the crib. The crib is white with a tiny yellow duvet in it, and a Woody doll.

"This looks great, thanks guys." I said as I clasped my hand on Niall's shoulder with a proud smile. There was a few fake coughs, I turned around and saw Mandy and Izzie standing there looking a little annoyed. "And girls." I added causing them to smile. "Haley is going to love this." Harry stated while walking over to the chair then sitting down. She will love this, it's simple and came from the heart. "I'm going to invite her over, you guys want to stay?" I told them as I took my mobile out of my pocket. I got a chorus of 'yes''s and 'sure''s as I typed in Hale's number.

"Hey. What's up?"

"Nothing, do you want to come over? I have a surprise for you."

"Sure. What's the surprise?"

"You'll have to wait, I'll pick you up in 15 minutes."

"Fine. Love you."

"Love you to."

{Hale's POV}

Liam sounded really happy as we talked. When he left here a few hours ago he seemed very upset and worried. The first time he called he sounded a bit more relaxed and happy. But after the most recent call he sounded very excited about the surprise.

Once we hung up I saved where I was on my story, then put away my MacBook. I'm almost done with my book. All I need to do is write the last few chapters, make a cover, and think of a title. I know I should already have a title, but I want it to be perfect.

I quickly brushed my hair up into a ponytail, and put on a little bit of perfume. As I gave Luther and Snow water I heard the door open ad close. "It's just me." Liam voice rang through out my flat. I ran out of kitchen and towards Liam. He chuckled as he saw me running, then picked me up in a hug. "I can't wait for you to see your surprise." He admitted once my feet touched the ground. "Can I have a hint?" I asked while poking his nose. He shook his head, then gave me a quick peck on the lips.

When he got to the door for his flat he had the biggest smile on his face. "You have a really cute smile." I told him making him blush. "C'mon lets go inside." I nodded as he opened the door. All the guys and girls are sitting on his couch watching the telly. "Hi Haley." They all chorused with big smiles. Wow, everyone is really happy today. "Hi." I said while waving.

"Okay, you ready?" Liam asked as we walked into the living room. "More then ever." I admitted. He chuckled, then covered my eyes with his hand. "I'm going to lead you there, okay?" I nodded as he lightly pushed me in another direction. "Can we come?" I think Louis said, I'm pretty sure it was him. "Sure." Liam told them. I'm positive it's him. Then a bunch of footsteps coming to follow us.

Once Liam stopped walking I heard a door open. "Okay ready?" Liam asked. I nodded then his hand slowly lifted off of my face. My jaw dropped. "Liam. This is so..." I trailed off, not sure what word I could use for this. It's adorable, cute, amazing, fabulous. But those don't even mean how great this room is. "Do you like it?" Niall asked as I walked into the room. "I absolutely love it." I told him as I walked over to the white wooden crib. I giggled as I saw a Woody doll laying there. Two strong arms wrapped around my waist as I stared at the doll. I turned around so I would be facing him, and stared him in the eyes. "Thank you, so much." His smile grew even wider, which doesn't even seem humanly possible. But it did. I kissed him softly on the lips while wrapping my arms around his neck. When I pulled away I hugged him tightly.

"We helped to!" I heard Harry say. I looked over at him and saw his arms spread out for a hug. A small giggle escaped my lips as I wiggled out of Liam's grasp and over to him. As I hugged him I left one pair of arms join in, then another, and another, until all of us were in a huge group hug. "This baby is going to be so loved." Zayn said once everyone pulled apart. Liam wrapped his arms around my waist from behind, then rested his chin on the top of my head saying "Yeah, it really will."
