Ellie Staple x Reader x Billie Dean Howard (Supermarket) - Part 3

Y/n POV

It's been a difficult few weeks, but my moms have been helping me get through each day at a time. Today we were going to the supermarket food shopping. It didn't seem like a huge task but for me, it was. The noise, the people and the different smells are all too overwhelming.

I woke up early this morning and decided to go and wake up my mom's. I opened their door to see mom Ellie still sleeping and momma Billie awake reading her book. When she saw me, she smiled and opened her arms pulling me into her embrace. I snuggled into her arms as she pulled the cover over me. She began stroking my hair and placing little kisses on the top of my head and I cuddled closer. I didn't really want to talk today so I just nodded at her questions and kept my face hidden into her.

Billie POV

Y/n climbed into bed with us and gradually began to fall asleep once again. She was clearly tired and trying to avoid going to the shops today but I knew we had to take her. Ellie suggested it and I know she understands what she is doing and would suggest it if she thought it, was a bad idea. As y/n drifted back off to sleep Ellie began to stir. She rolled over to find y/n asleep cuddled into my side and smiled softly.

Billie: "Morning love."

Ellie: "Hey honey. Is she alright?" Ellie asked concerned. I nodded and said she came though and then fell asleep again.

Billie: "She's alright, just really quiet today. She barely spoke to me just nodded along and hid her face into my side."

Ellie: "Ahh okay, she probably a little nervous about today which is understandable." I nodded along with her and then felt y/n beginning to move around again. When she was finally awake, we all cuddled for a while then decided to go and get some breakfast.

Y/n decided to shower and then get dressed. She came downstairs for her breakfast which Ellie had just prepared for her. She sat at the table just staring at it until Ellie spoke.

Ellie POV

I could see y/n just staring down at her breakfast in a trance.

Ellie: "Y/n? Y/n darling?" She looked up at me meeting my eyes briefly before diverting her eyes back to the floor. I lifted her chin back up and saw her eyes as they began to tear up and her bottom lip began to tremble. I pulled her onto my embrace and held her close as she calmed down.

Ellie: "Little love, tell me what's going on in that pretty head of yours." Y/n pulled closer to me shaking her head.

Ellie: "Shh baby, are you feeling a nervous for shopping today?" She nodded her head and whimpered a little.

Y/n: "I don't want to go; please can we stay home?"

Ellie: "Hey love, I promise we will be with you the whole time. Its going to be okay, I just want to see how it goes okay. I'll not be mad at you if you need a break at any point, I promise." Y/n mumbled back to me agreeing and Billie emerged down the stairs after picking up her bag.

I went to grab my bag but y/n wouldn't let go of me so she walked with me and I handed y/n her lanyard. We all began walking out the door and locking up before we got into the car and began driving to the supermarket. Y/n sat in the back of the car as I drove and Billie sat in the passenger seat.

We eventually got into the supermarket. I wanted to see how well y/n managed to cope and if she could use any of her techniques to calm herself down. I could see her walking with Billie next to the cart. She was fidgeting with her lanyard and occasionally running her hands through her hair. We began putting food in the cart and after a while I noticed y/n becoming a little more agitated. She began picking at her hand and scratching at her arms. Something I'd never seen her do before. I quickly stopped her from causing any damage and pulled her into me. She nuzzled her head into me as I held her hands in mine.

She looked up at me as her eyes teared up and her bottom lip trembled. I decided to move quickly out of the shop grabbing our last few items and paying. The whole time y/n stayed hidden between Billie and I. She clung to Billies blouse as I followed along behind. I quickly paid and we moved the shopping into our car. Billie sat in the back with y/n as she shook uncontrollably. We drove home and I put away the shopping.

When I went through to the living room y/n was sat cuddled onto the sofa with Billie drinking tea. I cuddled in beside them and began to softly speak to y/n, who still remained quiet.

Ellie: "Hey my love, I'm so proud of you today. You did so well. I know you didn't feel well during the shopping but you did so well to calm yourself down, we just have to make sure you don't scratch at yourself again, okay?" She nodded again and cuddled into us both. I applied antiseptic cream to the light scratches and then I rubbed it in and pulled a blanket over us all as Billie read to y/n and I. Y/n listened intently and her eyes met mine for the first time in a while and she smiled.
