TW: ED, Panic Attack, Medication, Mentions of past abuse

Please be careful reading this...I found it hard to write it down. Look after yourselves.

Reader was adopted by Cate, Sarah and Sandy. Y/n has an Eating Disorder and anxiety. Y/n Skips meals often. One day after school she comes downstairs, after struggling with extreme anxiety all day, and sees that her family have laid the table with a large meal. Y/n has a panic attack and faints but the girls catch her and help her take her medication for her anxiety and then help her with her Eating disorder voice and struggles.

Sandy POV

It was a usual Friday morning. Both Cate and Sarah were still asleep in our King sized bed, whilst y/n slept across the hall. Cate and Sarah were never morning people and they were certainly never awake early, and y/n followed in their footsteps as she was notoriously hard to get out of bed in the morning. I had to practically drag her out of bed or she would just sleep all day.

We had adopted y/n when she was little, it was her 6th birthday when we took her home. We knew how she had not had the best childhood. She had been abused by her family before the CPS took her into their custody and not long after we found her, our baby. As she grew up, she struggled with regular nightmares and panic attacks, even within the first year we met her. I will always remember the first time we saw her have a nightmare and panic attack.

In the past - Y/n 6 years old

It was Christmas Eve and we had put up the tree, placed the stockings above the fire place and we had made cookies for Santa Claus. Y/n seemed so withdrawn from the festivities and we all weren't sure why. When everything was cleaned and sorted, we sat down to watch a Christmas film on the sofa. Sarah, Cate and I were all cuddled up and Sarah motioned y/n to join us.

Sarah: "Sweetie come and sit with us and pick a film to watch."

Y/n shook her head and plonked herself down on the floor by the side of the sofa watching us intently as her bottom lip pouted and tears began to fall from her y/e/c eyes.

Sarah: "Baby girl, what's wrong?"

She kept shaking her head and covering her ears as if she was frightened of something, or someone. Sarah reached out her hand and shuffled to the floor beside y/n cooing her. Y/n eventually crawled into Sarah's lap as Sarah rested against the sofa. She cooed y/n and eventually she calmed down. We were all worried about y/n, she seemed in that moment to be scared to be touched, then she spoke.

Y/n: "Pwomise you no hurt me like he did last chwirtmas eve." Y/n asked trembling in Sarah's arms.

Sarah: "Baby I promise we would never hurt you. Do you want to tell mommies what happened so we can help you? That sounds like a lot of a little one like you to have to deal with on your own."

She shook her head, terrified to give an answer, she looked down at the ground.

Sarah: "You can whisper it to mommy if you would like, then you don't have to say it out loud?"
