Qibli PoV: (I haven't read the books in a while, so uh sorry for anything that's horribly off ;v;)

Qibli had one mission: to protect his queen, the best queen, the fairest and kindest queen on Pyrrhia, the–

"QIBLI! I CAN TELL YOU'RE GOING OFF ON A SPIN ABOUT MY EXCELLENCE, GET YOUR FAT, CROCODILE-LICKING TAIL UP HERE BEFORE I HAVE TO DRAG YOU!"

Ah yes, the queen in question.

He got his 'fat, crocodile-licking tail' up there.

There was a group of seven trusted and experienced Outclaws in a group around Queen Thorn, all of which were looking expectantly at him. He sighed through his nose, exhaling a little tongue of flame.

"Well?" He inquired. " Are we going to get going?"

As they flew over the desert and into the Sky Kingdom, a thought kept playing at his head and trying to tip him off-balance in the strange mountain winds. Would he see Moon, Winter, Kinkajou, and the others in his old winglet? This was a big party, celebrating not only three years of Queen Ruby's reign, but also the hatching of a new heir, Peak, who, even though Cliff was a bit older than her, had followed him around so insistently all the time Ruby was trying to think of a name, that she chose something similar to her first-hatched.

He, being a 'proper young dragon' had donned a new earring, a gift from Ostrich, a long, pale blue sailfish, with real amethyst eyes, that glimmered nicely, a few shiny rings, and a neck band, the latest style, engraved with curling lizards and blazing suns. Also, because it had been known to happen, all the SandWings had a little iron covering over their barb, in case of someone getting too drunk and accidentally stabbing or slicing someone else.

He was feeling pretty good, and also, he was assured in the fact that because of his vigorous training, he would be able to successfully defend Thorn or his fellow Outclaws, or any innocent dragon.

[note: I'm ignoring the whole bit of scavengers making the treaty with the dragons and stuff, I just really don't like it sooooo yeah. Sorry for the tiny rant, back to the story :>]

______________________________________________________________________________

When they arrived, they found that indeed, every tribe was there, including a good many hybrids. There were a lot of NightRains, some SkyMuds, a smattering of RainSeas, a RainIce, if you could believe it, two or three SeaIces, and even a dark blue NightSea with ominous large eyes, telling a story to some younger dragons.

But then there were the single-tribe dragons, all different colors, especially the RainWings. They had flowers, sure, but their greatest display and treasure were the scales themselves. RainWings had developed an oil that could enhance color vibrancy and pop, and so all the RainWings were absolutely breathtaking.

All the other tribes had jewelry, but I've spent too long on descriptors anyway, although I could add it if someone asked...

But then Qibli saw the dragons he most wanted to see. His winglet.

There was Moon, with a pendant of bright sapphire, and a silver-and-gold wristband.

There was Turtle, with his ever-present armband and anxious smile.

There was Kinkajou, as blinding as ever, along with a flower crown of orchids and lilacs.

There was Peril, with her new rose gold earring, a gift from Turtle, enchanted so she wouldn't burn, and a necklace of quartz flames.

And there was Winter, with his deep blue eyes and lighter blue-silver scales set off by a sunset-colored cape, which draped over his back and down his tail a bit, and whenever he moved, the sequins sewn into the fabric glistened prettily. He also made a soft chorus of clicks and clatters and whispers, perfectly enchanting.

As they landed, their claws clicking neatly onto the marble floor, everyone turned to see who it was and whether there were any old friends to greet. His winglet came bounding over, all, save Winter, embracing him.

"OH MY GOODNESS QIBBS, IT'S BEEN FOREVER!!" Kinkajou half-shrieked.

"It's nice to see you again," Turtle murmured, a small smile on his face. Winter nodded.

"Hi! I don't realllllllllly remember you very much, but It's nice to see Tu–everyone so happy," Peril said.

"Peril! We all know that you and Turtle are partners now. You don't have to correct yourself," Moon said, a tiny grin on her face.

"WELL, even though I know I'm the best dragon ever and we should all be oohing and awing over me, I think it's also important to catch up with you all!" Qibli said. "So, let's go in order please. Peril, Turtle, Moon, Kinkajou, then Winter. Sounds good?"

Everyone agreed, and then they started telling all that had happened in the three years apart. Peril and Turtle had spent it solidifying the bonds between tribes and making sure the multi-tribe settlements were okay. They had eventually settled in Watchtown, a new well, town, in the Diamond Spray Delta. (I'm pretty sure nothing's there really) They had a house, garden, and plans for a wedding and dragonets.

Moon had spent the time helping the NightWing village, and making sure no old rivalries sturred. The NightWings had a large clearing near the coast where they had their village, although there were some smaller settlements scattered throughout the rainforest. Kinkajou had helped her, and apparently, the two had formed an inseparable bond.

Winter had spent it flying and exploring, mapping caves and how the rivers shifted, making the desert maps include tiny oasis and villages, even though it required him being in the desert for longer than he wanted. Once he had finished updating maps and publishing them, he had put his drawing skills to use and made a name for himself, selling portraits, paintings, drawings, and a few odd sculptures in all kinds of paint, pencil, and charcoal.

Qibli, in return relayed how he had spent the time training, guarding Queen Thorn, scouting bits of the desert, and baking. Lots of baking. He found he quite liked it. It put his neverending energy to use.

Okay so, this is gonna be in parts because I kinda lost ideas, and so if anyone has advice or ideas, please share them.
