- Malfoy Manor -

Sirius felt pain surge through his body when he was thrown on the floor roughly. The floor was gleaming in a dimly lit room with a roaring fire glaring over the scene.

"Took you long enough" he heard a voice say as he struggled to get back to his feet. He considered taking them by hand but, even though he could throw a good punch he knew he was outnumbered.

That was when a foot collided with his stomach and he gasped in pain, turning over and clutching the spot where it stung. That's when he was forced to his feet again, now facing the watchful eyes of multiple death eaters.

He recognised a few of them, Rodolphus Lestrange, Lucius Malfoy, Narcissa Malfoy and...

His heart dropped when he saw his father, standing near the fireplace and his mother beside him, her eyes stern and glaring at him.

"We don't have to hurt him" he heard and then he snapped his head towards the voice, seeing Regulus for the first time since that Summer.

His little brother looked tired and Sirius recognised the fear in his eyes that he'd always been so good at hiding.

"Enough Regulus" his mother snapped and Regulus went silent, his head down.

"Let's just make this simple" she continued, walking over to Sirius, her eyes boring into his. "You have a choice here Sirius...much to my dismay Regulus convinced your father we should present our offer to you again"

Sirius let out an amused sigh of laughter.

"Let me just stop you right there" Sirius said "I'm not joining you or your sadastic cause mother" he spat.

Walburga sighed, like she'd expected to hear this, giving her husband the look of 'I told you so'

"Alright" she said calmly, which was scarier than her shouting. "You had your chance"

Sirius just shook his head, looking a the people who were his family. How was it possible that he was related to such monsters?

"So what now?" Sirius asked with a glare "going to kill me?" he said, his voice challenging.

He saw Regulus look up at his words, the worry in his face evident.

"The only reason you're still alive is because you have use to us" Bellatrix said, her voice still as cheerful as ever

"You know where some valuable people are...or should I say...a valuable person" Lucius Malfoy stated with a smug expression on his face.

"If you brought me in hopes I'd tell you where my friends are then you're in for a disappointment" Sirius snapped, pulling slightly at the death eaters holding him back, their grip making his arm go numb.

"We thought you'd say that" his father said, speaking for the first time since Sirius' arrival. Just his voice sending a cold wave through Sirius, making him feel like he was 10 years old again.

"Bellatrix, make sure to lock him in the cellar. The Dark Lord will want answers out of him soon, make sure we get them" Walburga said hastily, not even glancing back at her eldest son.

And with a feeling of dread Sirius was pulled over to a narrow staircase that led down into a dark and cold cellar, Bellatrix following behind the death eaters dragging him harshly.

'This is it' Sirius thought to himself sadly 'I swear I'll never tell them where you are Moony'

- present day -

Remus had gotten used to James and Grants affection by now, in fact it had become so natural that they could be making out in the tent and Remus wouldn't even look up from the book the was reading.

"James, want help with radio tonight?" Grant had asked in a sweet voice and James had grinned.

"It might make the work more bearable" he flirted and kissed his boyfriends cheek.

And that was how James sand Grant came to find out their first piece of news on Sirius Black.

'We have been told to report that some weeks ago, Sirius Black was spotted in Diagon Alley. There have been debates since then whether he's joined back with his family on the side of you-know-who, at the present moment it is unclear where Black's allegiances lie. Has he gone running back to his bloodline? There were further reports recently of anonymous sources saying they knew Black was back with his family at Malfoy Manor so who knows'

At the first mention of Sirius' name Grant had immediately turned it up, catching Remus' attention who rushed over to hear the report.

'Diagon Alley? A few weeks ago? Is that where he's apparated to after....'

"At least now...we know he's....alive" grant said, looking for a positive to takeaway from the report.

"He was spotted in Diagon Alley weeks ago...and now he's..at Malfoy Manor...I know Padfoot...no matter how angry, his family would be the last people he would go to" James muttered, taking notes hastily, his glasses falling aksew. "...Unless....he had no choice...maybe there was an ambush..."

"Somethings not right. I can feel it" Remus said quietly, his heart rate picking up. He felt Grant's comforting hand land on his shoulder.

"I'm sure he's alright. I know his family's not the greatest...."

Remus shook his head, every single worry firing in his head.

"No...no somethings wrong I...I know it is. His family is pure evil"

Grant could see the worry in Remus' eyes and sighed, knowing that maybe he was just overthinking things.

Then it hit Remus like a bolt of lightening, he straightened up, his eyes going wide.

"Holy shit"

"What?" Grant asked, looking at Remus confused, removing his hand as Remus began to pace.

"Oh that little..."

"Remus what are you thinking?" James asked, noticing that Remus had the look he usually got when he knew the correct answer to an essay question.

Finally Remus stopped pacing and looked at them both, crossing his arms.

"Where was Peter on the night Sirius left?"
