Chapter 5

"No way." I said as I stared at Higuchi.

"Dazai-san... is here?!" I screeched out as Higuchi placed her hand over my mouth to silence me.

"Shh. Akutagawa-senpai told me to not tell you at all costs, but you recognised the man when we had tried to capture the weretiger last week. I thought it would be best to tell you." Higuchi said as I was reeling from shock.

"Where is he?" I asked as Higuchi shook her head.

"You can't go there now. If Akutagawa-senpai sees you, he'll know I told you!" Higuchi said as I almost growled at her.

Hell, Dazai-san's here and you're worried about Akutagawa? I need to see Dazai-san, and show him just how much stronger I've gotten while he'd been playing in a field of flowers at the Agency. I raged inside my head.

"When's Akutagawa leaving to go catch the weretiger and the girl?" I asked Higuchi, her eyes widening in shock.

"How'd you know about that?" Higuchi whisper-shouted at me as I rolled my eyes.

"P-lease." I said in two syllables, rolling my eyes.

"Why wouldn't I know?" I asked as Higuchi just sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose.

"You were planning to sabotage his mission again, weren't you?" Higuchi asked as I gave her a dead-panned look.

"No, Higuchi. I was planning to waltz in during your mission, get on my knees in front of Akutagawa and offer to help." I said sarcastically before turning serious.

"Of course I was going to ruin Akutagawa's mission, what do you think?" I asked as Higuchi mumbled something under her breath which I decided to ignore.

"So when is he leaving?" I asked as Higuchi sighed and shook her head as if she couldn't believe as she, quote said, "Betraying my senpai."

"In an hour, we're going to get Kyouka and the tiger." Higuchi said as I almost groaned.

An hour? I thought before shaking my head.

"And I'm NOT leaving your side until we leave." Higuchi said, already ruining my plans to sneak in as I pouted.

"Are you kidding me?" I asked as Higuchi just glared at me slightly as I raised my hands in defeat.

"Fine, I won't try to sneak in."

Words of a liar.

I tried.

Multiple times.

But Higuchi would stop me before I could get into the room.

"When are you leaving?" I whined as Higuchi rolled her eyes.

"I regret telling you." Higuchi mumbled as I rolled my eyes back at her.

"What is it with you and Akutagawa-senpai being so obsessed with the man?" Higuchi asked angrily before she looked at me with curiosity in her eyes.

"What is it with you and Akutagawa-senpai being so obsessed with the man?" Higuchi repeated, sounding more curious than furious as I rolled my eyes.

"Dazai-san was our-" I started but suddenly Higuchi's phone rang as she looked at the caller ID, eyes widening in shock.

"Akutagawa-senpai." Higuchi breathed out as I rolled my eyes.

"Yes. Sorry." Higuchi said, wincing as I heard Akutagawa's annoying voice muffle through the phone speaker.

Higuchi slipped her phone back in her pocket as she started to run off but looked at me with a small glare.
