Chapter 11

The wind whipped around with so much force that metallic compartments was tearing off the ground as I sent it towards Fitzgerald.

I knew that this tornado couldn't do much, not against an ability user like him, but if it could make him use some of his power, it'll do.

Just as I presumed, there was a large explosion of power as the tornado was sent pummelling away from Fitzgerald.

I disabled it immediately and I didn't even need to tell Akutagawa and Atsushi anything as they shot forward.

I was going to join but as I took a step forward, my legs buckled as I slumped to the ground.

Damnit, come on, just a little longer! I thought as I looked up and struggled to get on my knees.

But I knew I couldn't join, I'd only make things worse if I could barely move, but that doesn't meant I can't help.

The fighting went on as I used my wind manipulation to try cut off his oxygen supply, but somehow his ability just didn't allow it as I clenched my teeth together.

"Weretiger!" Akutagawa screamed as Fitzgerald sent Atsushi flying off the ship.

Akutagawa sent tendrils of fabric towards him, which Atsushi stood on before running back towards Fitzgerald and leapt into the air.

I watched as Akutagawa used Rashoumon to wrap around Atsushi's paw-fist-thing to make the attack even stronger.

Fitzgerald was about to leap aside to avoid the attack but I directed all my concentration towards him and used Purity.

Fitzgerald, unable to move from where he was standing, only stretched his arms out in time to stop the attack from hitting full on.

Atsushi screamed in determination and so did Fitzgerald but he was blown off to the side as dust covered the entire deck before it slowly cleared away.

I fell to my knees, breathing heavily as I watched Atsushi fall face first onto the ground.

Akutagawa was just sitting with his head hung when I saw a silhouette of a figure behind him in the smoke.

"No way..." I mumbled as I saw Fitzgerald still standing.

"I won, Zelda." Fitzgerald said as he stumbled back before falling backwards and off the ship.

Wait, the control terminal! I thought as I struggled up and ran towards where Fitzgerald had fallen off but suddenly something wrapped around my wrist making me slip as I rolled to a stop.

"Hey!" I said as Akutagawa stood up, rolling his eyes. 

"I took it from him during the last attack." Akutagawa said as I saw the terminal that a tendril of Akutagawa's coat was holding.

"We need to stop it!" Atsushi said in panic as he grabbed it and pressed something.

There was the sound of beeping as I felt the Moby Dick ascend higher into the sky as I sighed in relief, lying on the floor because I couldn't be bothered to get up.

However, I heard Atsushi let out a surprised sound as I chuckled softly, Akutagawa's foot on Atsushi's face.

"I'd love to rip you to shreds right now but, unfortunately, I've used up all my strength. You'll have to make do with this." Akutagawa said as I heard Atsushi's muffled voice from beneath Akutagawa's shoe.

"You're going to pay for this when we meet next." Atsushi said as I chuckled again.

Abruptly, the ship shook a little as I frowned as I felt it descend again.
