Hi guys!

Just wanted to say, I'm changing the plot up a little :))

- - -

For a week, I've avoided Akutagawa now.

It was difficult, considering Mori-san wanted to talk with the both of us on many occasions about what had happened to Morita Yutaka.

I hadn't even glanced in Akutagawa's direction, keeping my gaze on Mori-san, not even daring to take it off the Port Mafia boss.

I had literally turned on my heel and almost ran out the door to make sure I didn't need to look at Akutagawa.

It seemed, the neither of us wanted to interact with each other.

Gin had been curious why I had left so suddenly that night.

I had lied, telling her I wasn't feeling very well and had to leave.

She left it at that, but I could tell she didn't believe me for one second.

"Did something happen between you and Akutagawa-senpai?" Higuchi suddenly asked, making me break out my thoughts as I blinked.

"Huh?" I asked looking at her with a confused look on my face.

"What do you mean?" I asked, laughing awkwardly as Higuchi frowned.

"I don't know... It's just you haven't been, how do I put this, annoying the crap out of Akutagawa-senpai." Higuchi said as I chuckled.

"No, nothing happened. I'm just not feeling like it, too tired. Jet lag is a bitch." I said, hoping Higuchi wouldn't see the way my face burnt up.

Sure, not like we kissed or anything.

Higuchi opened her mouth to say something but the door opened as we turned and saw Akutagawa leaning against the frame.

I immediately turned away, looking at my knife, pretending to clean it as Higuchi stood up abruptly.

"Akutagawa-senpai." Higuchi said as I could feel Akutagawa glance at me briefly before looking at the blonde haired girl.

"The Boss wants us all." Akutagawa said as Higuchi nodded as she looked at me.

"Y/n, let's go." Higuchi said as I sighed, placing my knife back into its strap and got up.

Higuchi walked out the room, walking past Akutagawa as he continued to stare at me.

I didn't look at him, only brushed past him until slender fingers wrapped around my wrist, making me pause for a second.

I inhaled quickly as I looked up at Akutagawa, staring into those cool, unreadable grey eyes.

"What?" I asked as he didn't let go.

I didn't pull away either.

"About last week-" Akutagawa started as I cut him off before things got out of hand.

"We were both tired. It's fine. Forget it." I said as something flashed in Akutagawa's eyes before his mask fell back into place.

"Right." Akutagawa said as I clenched my teeth.

"It's a joke, isn't it? Saying that you loved me? All of it. None of it is real, is it? It meant nothing. Just games to get around me. Classic move for a mafioso." I said to him, stepping closer to him to glare at him.

He stared down at me, eyes emotionless.

We both knew I was challenging him.

We were part of the Port Mafia, emotions like these were considered weakness.
