So you're probably asking yourself... Zero, are you really back talking about binding?
You betcha, I am. In light of my own chest dysphoria, I like to talk about binding. So, for all the babs that are new to this - here yall go, the pros and cons of binding.
Pros:
i. Curbs chest dysphoria
ii. Makes you feel comfortable in your own skin
iii. Raise self confidence
iv. Pretty cheap, depending on where you go
Those are the main 3, as you can tell. Let me be honest, there are a lot more cons. "I've won... but at what cost?"
Cons:
i. Could break your ribs
ii. Could possibly prevent future top surgery if done wrong or dangerously
iii. YOU CANT BREATHE
iv. Starts to become really itchy after long periods of time (remember, 8 hour rule)
v. Not ideal for high activity lifestyles due to confined movement
Soooo yeah. It sucks to bind. It sucks not to bind. Can we all just skip to the good part and get top surgery?
Thats all for today, you angels. Enjoy the rest of your day or night 💜
