Cato’s POV
AND YES, WE MET CLOVE AND MARVEL IN THE MALL I SUPPOSEDLY CHOSE, THIS IS JUST GREAT.
“I don’t think so.” Glimmer glared at both of them and Clove turned around.
When she saw the both of us, she almost dropped the gold-colored tux she’s holding. I began to grab Glimmer’s wrist before she could cause a huge commotion inside the mall.
“It’s okay if we lose Glimmer.”Clove said peacefully. “We’re not hoping to be the prom king and queen.”
“Good.” Glimmer’s anger faded and she smiled sophisticatedly. “Cato and I are going to win.”
“We all know that Glimmer.” Marvel retorted.
“Fine,” Glimmer flipped her hair. “Cato and I are going to buy our outfits. Bye losers.”
Glimmer this time grabbed my wrist and she dragged me somewhere else.
Clove’s POV
Seriously, Marvel and I are not hoping to be the prom king and queen. We’re hoping to find a unique outfit because we want to get the “Unique couple” award. If you win, you’ll have an additional grade in Physics. That’s all.
“It’s the first time you actually fought back at her.” I said, grinning.
“I’m not fighting back at her.” Marvel smiled. “I’m actually trying to be honest. It’s pretty obvious that Glimmer and Cato is going to be the prom king and queen. No big deal.”
Yes, it is definitely no big deal. Just a huge reputation that you’ll mark on your yearbook I guess? Nah, it really is no big deal.
“You’re from District 2 right?” Marvel quickly asked. “It’s the district of Masonry.”
“Yes, I’m from district 2.” I said. “And our jobs are usually… peacekeepers?”
“Please don’t tell me you’re going to wear a peacekeeper uniform in prom.” Marvel tried not to laugh and I punched him humorously.
“I may or may not wear a peacekeeper uniform.” I said.
“You’re going to wear a blacksmith uniform then?” Marvel said jokingly.
“I am seriously going to punch you harder this time Marvel.”
Cato’s POV
Glimmer dragged me to the classy aisle and it’s starting to make me panic. The prices are really making me panic. Some costs $45,000 for just one outfit, if you add the male outfit… no comment.
“Don’t worry Cato I’m going to buy our outfits.” Glimmer said as she pulled out a blue-colored tux.
I was surprised when I saw the price of the tux it was probably $60,000. Maybe the tux came from the Capitol?
“I know you’re surprised Cato.” Glimmer said. “But we have to win.”
I really don’t want to win. I don’t want to be the prom king or anything. I don’t want to be paired up with Glimmer. We just broke up and this happened. She’s treating me as a best friend, that’s probably good news. But she keeps on hating Clove for no reason. I have this feeling that I never felt before. It seems like I’m angry when I think that Glimmer hates Clove. It is really inexplicable. I have this weird feeling that I should Clove soon enough from Glimmer.
