Cato’s POV
Mr. Abernathy talked about the 74th annual Hunger Games all throughout the class. And without my further anticipation, Clove just called me an idiot, well, that was a very heart-warming welcome. I must say she changed a lot though, she never wore eyeglasses anymore, and her face changed, a lot. She became more… no. I’m not even saying that word or thinking about that word at all. I started looking at her and she was reading a book. When she caught me looking at her, I looked away quickly, and then she started to smile a little, which made me smile too. When the bell started to ring, Mr. Abernathy quickly went outside, and then Clove stood up and Glimmer pushed her back to her seat harshly. Clove gave her a surprised expression on her face and Glimmer started yelling profanities at her. No one dared to listen or join the commotion, so all of our classmates went out, leaving Glimmer, Clove, and I inside the classroom. I ran quickly to both of the girls when Glimmer started hurting Clove.
“What the hell Glimmer!” I yelled at Glimmer, as I was stopping her from hurting Clove.
“She called you an idiot!” She screamed, and she was squirming in my arms.
“I’m sorry.” Clove apologized.
“YOU CALLED MY BOYFRIEND AN IDIOT!” Glimmer shouted at Clove badly.
“Stop it Glimmer, it’s done.” I said seriously, and then she stopped squirming.
“Fine,” she said, probably annoyed, and then she gave Clove one last glare.
