TW: Homophobic slurs & Violence.
"But you can call me JD." JD reached his hand out to you. A handshake? You thought. Who is this guy? You grabbed his hand and shook it.
"I'm Y/N. If you want, you could just call me the odd-heather-out, but I don't find that very fitting." You smiled. He chuckled and let go of your hand.
Far away from your table, two jocks could be seen staring at you and Mr. Knock-off Jesse James. You could feel their eyes burning on your back, and you turned around to glance at them. "Ugh. Kurt and Ram." You muttered.
JD leaned onto the table and laughed. "You friends with those two?"
"Friends is not the right word. More like... I'm forced to enjoy their presence and they're super into getting into the ugly gone beautiful person's pants." You shrugged and turned around to look at JD. "I hate them, honestly, but Heather McNamara is super into the dumb one."
JD paused and whispered, "Which one would that be?"
Ram slammed his hands next to you and Kurt leaned down and smiled at you, wrapping his arm around your side. "Hey, hot stuff. Whaddya doin' sitting over here with the faggot?"
"Get the hell off of me." You shoved Kurt back. Ram smirked and leaned in towards you, maybe an inch away from your face.
"What are you gonna do about it, slut?" He gripped your shoulder.
JD stood up. "Get the hell off of them. Now." He narrowed his brows and looked at the two shit heads next to you. "Or else."
"Or else, what? What are you gonna do, emo douche? You don't stand a chance against us." Kurt laughed.
JD leapt over the table and socked Kurt right in the jaw, making him fall to his feet. Ram ran towards JD and pushed him back, punching him across the face. Kurt groggily climbed to his feet and held his jaw, rubbing it till it hurt a little less before launching himself at JD.
All around you people started to pull out their phones as the two jocks brawled with this tall, mysterious boy who was fighting for you after he'd only met you five minutes ago. Your heart skipped a beat as you felt yourself hoping, praying, that he would win. Why did you feel this way about some random nobody? You were a HEATHER. At least, you tried to believe you were.
JD yanked himself away from the jocks, turning away from them and catching his breath. He was all beat up. You didn't believe there was a way that he could win.
A gunshot fired. And another one followed.
