By day three of my work I was able to do all the cleaning, I was so exhausted at the end of everyday though. The only thing that bugged me was Kyle's son, Bob. Bob was a spoiled brat. He told me that I was a worthless good for nothin, and I couldn't clean his clock because he was my practical boss. I was in desprate need to blow off some steam. On my day off I decided my best bet for blowing off some steam was fighting. I walked down to the allys and saw something that made my blood run cold.

My father was there.

I almost gagged with disgust. I never wanted to see him again, he turned and saw me. My heart sped up as he walked twords me with a sickening grin.

"Well, well, well, looks who's here." He said, his voice sounding as rough as sandpaper.

My muscles locked down almost like to prepare of impact. He stepped forward till he was up in my face. He shoved me back, making me loose my footing.

He grabbed my shirt collar and hit me hard across the face. His wedding ring cut into my cheek and lip, blood imeately dripped onto the cold hard concreat.

He hit me hard in the chest and ribs, when I fell down he kicked me hard in the ribs until I couldn't feel them. Everything was sorta blurry.

He was done sooner than I expected and he just left me there. I staggered to a stand, grimmacing as I felt my throbbing ribs.

As soon as I got back to the house, I slowly walked into the kitchen to grab a Pepsi. I heard footsteps behind me. I naturally assumed it was either Kyle or Bob. I turn around and see this girl, her hair was a chesnut brown and her eyes were a sparkling green. I was about to say something when my body suddenly reminded me I was in pain and I winced.

"Are you alright?" She asked, genuine concern was etched across her features.

I couldn't trust my tongue to speak, so I nod.

"What happened to you?" She asked, guesturing to my cheek and lip.

"N-nothin, i-its no-nothin." I said, wincing.

"Yeah.. I might have been born at night but not last night." She said, crossing her arms over her chest.

I couldn't say anything. She took my hand and led me up to her room.

"Lay down on the bed and take off your shirt." She said, looking at me.

I comply quickly, not thinking about all the ugly scars that addorned my skin.

She put her hands on my ribs, I winced and flinched away from her touch.

"Sorry." She murmures.

I nod slowly.

She walks into the bathroom and grabs some gauz. When she returned she wrapped my ribs up and put a pack of ice on my lip and a band aid on my cheek. Along with some pain killers.

I took the pain killers quickly and felt the pain ease quickly.

"You can stay in here." She offers.

I nod slowly, laying down on the bed.

"I didn't catch your name." I say turning to look at her.

"Rosie." She said laying down beside me.

"Alright, Rosie , I'm Dallas." I say as politely as I could.

"Yeah, I know." She said, smiling.

She had a real pretty smile. She was the last thing on my mind before I fell asleep.
