Dally's POV

I jolt awake to see Rosie snuggled tightly into my chest. I was drenched in cold sweat and shivering. It had been a while since I had even thought about Sylvia, I tried to shove her into the back of my mind but she wasn't one to be silenced.

"Dally?" Rosie asks looking up at me with her wide innocent eyes.

"Yeah?" I ask, trying to keep the shivering at bay.

"You alright?" She asks, looking at me carefully in the darkness.

"Yeah, I'm okay." I lie

She nods and gets up, I wonder briefly where shes going but she comes back with a dry tshirt and a cigarette.

She hands them to me and turns away as I change into the tshirt. I lit the cigarette and slowly exhaled the smoke.

"Thanks." I say, smiling a little at her.

"Can I ask you something?" She asks, lighting her own cigarette.

"Sure." I say trying to blow a smoke ring.

"Have you ever been to Oaklahoma?" She asks laying back down with me as our breathing falls into a heavy rythm as we exhale smoke.

I shake my head.

"We're moving there in a few days, would you want to come with?" She asks, twisting her hair as she blushed and looked down.

"I mean, I don't really have a choice do I?" I ask, exhaling deeply.
"You can always quit." She says, playfully punching me in the shoulder.
"Yeah right. " I mutter as I pretend not to notice her smile.
"So you want to come?" She asks, her tone light.
"Yes." I say, having to smile at her contagious good mood.
Her smile was dazzling. She put out her cigarette and curled back up against me and slowly drifted to sleep. I soon followed.
