Rosie's POV

We stood there for a moment or so just starring at each other. Dally's arm tightened protectively around my waist, ready to pull me behind him at any given moment.

"What is going on here?!" My father demanded.

"I fell in love with your daughter, sir." Dally says firmly

"Excuse me?!" My father shouted

"I said that I love your daughter, sir." Dally says again in a perfectly calm voice.

"And I love him." I say quietly.

"Say that again." He challenges me with gritted teeth.

"I said I love him." I say, tightening my grip on him as if he might disappear if I let go.

He looked over at Dally and said "Your fired." Dally shrugged and went back inside to gather his things, leaving me alone with my father.

"Why?" He asked simply.

"People fall in love in mysterious ways." I say shrugging as I went upstairs.

I look at Dally and hug him tightly, he hugs me back just as tightly.

"I'm gonna miss you so much." He whispers.

"I am gonna miss you so much too, but I got you something."

He looks at me.

"Down in a little place in Oklahoma called Tulsa theres a rodeo. I called them up last week and they want to hire you." I whisper handing him my plane ticket.

"But you wont be there." He says looking at me strait in the eye.

I try to smile reassuringly and said "It'll be okay, I'm sure we will see each other again."

He hugged me again and kissed me goodbye.

This was going to be hard.
