School---->extracurriculars

I know it has been awhile,but I'm back to talk about after school activities. After school activities include: sports, clubs, boy/Girl Scouts, internships, etc.,

Colleges like well-rounded students that are active members of the community. With that said, it would benefit you for many reasons to join some activities. First, it allows you to engage and interact people with the same interests as you. Second, it improves your teamwork and leadership skills. Thirdly, it allows you to explore your interests and skills. Finally, it enables you to excel in your area of expertise.

Personally, I think you should only join clubs that you want to. Don't join clubs just for college or because it looks good on college applications. Join clubs that you genuinely want to be in that interest you. It is correct that colleges like club members, but they are looking for people who stand out in the activity, people who are more than just a member.

TIP ONE:: When you join clubs and activities, don't spread yourself too thin. Clubs are great,but you shouldn't be getting stressed out about all these errands you must do for 'this' club or 'that' club.

TIP TWO:: even if you aren't good at it now, try it out. Try something new; who knows? It might be something that you're good at. Expand your interests and if you don't end up liking it,that's perfectly fine.

TIP THREE:: if you plan on starting clubs, start them early on. Colleges love people who are not only invested in extracurriculars,but have been for a longer period of time. It shows that you are consistent, dedicated, and dependent.

Those are all the tips I have for you. The rest of the post will be a list of some activities ,so you can get an idea of the spectrum of things you can be involved in.
