Jake's Point of View
"That necklace really suits you. I guess it was fate." I explained as I saw her being amazed from the necklace.
"Huh? Fate?"
"Yup. Well, that was my Grandmother's." I added.
"W-what?"
"It once belonged to her. She gave it to me when she passed away." I started the story.
"Oh. Why didn't I see or know her when we were young?"
"She never left home. She remained there because of Grandfather."
"Oh that's why."
"She told me to give the necklace to a girl I treasure the most." I stare at her full of embarrassment in her eyes.
"O-of course I-I'm your friend. You should treasure me the most since we've known each other for so long." she suddenly stuttered.
"You're right haha. Shall we go?" I just said and got up to get my bike ready.
Of course it suits you Isla. Of course I treasure you a lot. Even if you do not know how much I do.
"My grandson, take good care of this necklace. This is all I can pass on to you and the woman you love. Please do not waste the opportunities with the one you truly love. "
Grandma Helena, I don't know why you've said those things but I know I won't break any promise.
Isla's Point of View
*Morning
"Bonjour Isla, joyeux anniversaire! (good morning Isla, happy birthday!) "my alarm clock rang. A sign that it's my day. I heard someone at the door and so I went upstairs to see.
"Bonjour mademoiselle. Bon anniversaire! (Hello Miss, happy birthday!" It's the mailman.
"Some letters that are destined to be read on your 18th birthday. " he explained and offered me the letters.
"Oh thank you. Have a great day Sire." I said and he went away. I closed the door and sat in Grandma's favorite chair, along with a table full of books and papers.
"Gumi? What's wrong?" I saw my cat sat along and so I carried her but-
"What is this Gumi?" I saw an envelope where Gumi was sitting. I picked it up and started to open the envelope with a letter inside.
Bonjour Isla. Bon anniversaire! Today is your 18th birthday and I know by this time, I'm no longer with you, dear child. You've grown so much, as an independent and responsible lady. I'm so sure that your Mama and Papa are very proud of you. How were the flowers in the shop? Hope you take good care of them. There are so many things I've always wanted to tell you but growing old really makes your life difficult. Do you still remember the story I always tell you? I hope you do, my dear Isla, for it is a very important story for me. I've always warned you. To seek kindness even if evil is around you. To give up if it's time to give up. To sacrifice if it's the only way to earn peace. My dear Isla, as you become older, always remember that your dignity is the most important thing you have in life. Also, I would like to ask you a favor. Even though I'm gone, please take good care of my fate. My life depends on you. Take care of what comes into your surroundings. Be careful Isla.
Your Grandmother,
Amanda.
Grandma. I'll always listen to you. I promise to never let you down.
"Eh? Gumi? Gumi, where are you?" I lost Gumi as I stood up but suddenly the light turned on and a woman stood in front of me.
"Y-your M-majesty!" her existence is all I can see and the room suddenly turns into a library.
I've been looking for you for a while, your Majesty. The King is worried about you." this woman doesn't know what she's talking about. And what is this that I am holding? How come it's a book?
"Who are you and where's Gumi?" her face suddenly turned into an anxious one.
"Your Majesty? Are you feeling alright?" By these words I felt dizzy.
"Princess Aisla!" I could not hear her anymore then everything went dark.
