After eating breakfast, The kids ran upstairs. They had turned the attic into a playroom and were always up in there. Shane and Maddison were laughing together and heard a knock at the door. Shane looked through the glass and saw a cop with red fucking eyes. He ran over to Maddison and covered her mouth.

She started breathing heavy and Shane saw tears drip down her cheeks. He pulled her into his chest and picked her up. He slowly ran to the attic. He hushed the kids and Maddison helped. Suddenly they heard a loud crash.

"He broke down the door." Shane said frantically. He saw Maddison covering her mouth to keep from balling. He pulled the kids into a corner and Maddison covered them with a blanket. Shane saw even more tears and held her very tightly. Maddison hugged his arms that were securing her into him.

Shane felt her trembling. "Hey It's ok love. They won't touch any of us ok." Maddison nodded while holding back more tears. Soon they all heard the cop yelling. "Come out you little shits! I know your in here!" The cop spat through the house.

Thankfully Shane had pulled the ladder up before crawling in the corner with Maddison. She hugged into him even tighter and fiddled with her fingers. She tried desperately to focus on something else but couldn't. "Ahh! There's the attic. I know you little shits are up there!" The cop pulled the ladder open.

Shane gave Maddison the kids and rushed them out the window. "Start the fucking car now and wait please!" Shane demanded loudly as the cop made his way up the long ladder up the attic. She crawled out the window and jumped into a bed of leaves. She threw the kids in the car.

10 minutes later Shane crashed into the pile of leaves clutching his bleeding arm. He got in the passenger seat as Maddison drove off. She stayed silent. The kids were sleeping in the back of the car. Maddison pulled into a hotel about 4 hours away from the original house.

Shane was holding on tears of pain. Maddison got out and put her arms around his neck. All the kids helped Shane to the back. "Why are we in the back of the hotel Love?" He said weakly. "Hey stay awake! Shane stay the fuck awake! Don't close your eyes! Just look at Teddy!" Maddison yelled at him and he nodded.

Shane stayed awake reassuring Teddy. 2 minutes later Maddison came back with a first aid kit in tears. She yelled at the kids to stay outside the room. They all waited outside the small room. Maddison sat on the table and sewed up Shane's arm. He winced at the last stitch. "I I'm sorry." Shane lifted her chin. He wiped her tears away.

She smiled sadly at him. "What happened?" "I was about to jump out and he had a pocket knife with him. He sliced my arm open." Shane explained. Maddison's face was pale. She gave him a gentle, yet tight hug and a kiss.

"So. We staying in this hotel or not." He got up and held her hand with his good hand. Maddison nodded. "Can I fuck you senseless tonight?" He asked in her ear. "Well. You need rest tonight." Maddison sighed. "I'm taking that as a yes." Shane said playfully. "Fine. But if you get hurt we stop." She crossed her arms and giggled at his playful smirk.

Shane followed her to the kids. The kids had already stolen a key card and were giggling and playing quietly. "Ok guys lets go." The kids all stuck by Shane's side because they were worried. They reached the top floor. They slipped the key card in and entered the huge room.

"Dang. you guys stole a suit. Me and Maddison appreciate that." Shane laughed. Maddison stared out the giant window thinking about what's going to happen tonight. They all ate up and Shane and Maddison tucked the kids in.

She went back to staring out the large window. She felt two large hands on either sides of her waist. She smiled and leaned back into Shane's embrace. "Hi." She said sweetly. "Hello Love." Shane leaned his forehead on the top of her head. "Is your arm feeling better?" She asked curious. "Very much. It just needed a couple of minute. It doesn't hurt anymore."

Shane said with a goofy smile on his face. "You know what that means right." Maddison sighed and then laughed as Shane carried her to the master bedroom. "Don't hurt yourself!" Maddison giggled.
