Namjoon climbed the stairs to Gogyul's bedroom, he knocked lightly and waited for a moment before a small,

"Come in..." was heard

Namjoon slowly opened the door and smiled at his son, Gogyul only glanced at the elder man as he stood beside his bookcase, reading.

"So...hey..." Namjoon said awkwardly as he stepped inside.

"Hey...." Gogyul said in the same tone

"What are you...what's going on—"

"Dad is there something I can help you with?"

"Not necessarily, we haven't spoken since that night and I just wanted to make sure you're okay. I know when you get like that the end result is you feel guilt—"

"Aha...oh so you're here to see if I'm going to apologize to mom." Gogyul said as he plopped down onto his bed and leaned back against he headboard.

Namjoon closed the door and leaned against it, folding his arms across his chest,

"Well not just apologize but explain or talk to us or me. Gogyul you've never gotten that angry at her...even in high school—"

"Well this isn't high school dad and I'm not 17. I'm 25 and I need you to see me as that—"

"I get that, I do but 25 doesn't mean that you get to disrespect your mother or any of us—"

"The same way you disrespected grandpa?" Gogyul said with a scowl

Namjoon sighed and pressed a hand to his temple, "Why must it always come back to that man?"

"Why? Because you all kept him from us! Stripped his powers and then made him leave!"

"Don't raise your voice at me Kim Gogyul." Namjoon spoke with a hardened tone, "We did not force him to leave you. He made that choice on his own."

"Of course you'd say that. You never wanted him around anyway so of course you'd try to lie to protect your ass." Gogyul scoffed

"Now you're calling your father a liar?" Namjoon sighed deeply before placing his hands at his sides, "I raised you Gogyul. I made a better future for you, we all did! And you are so hell bent on making us the bad guys when all we want is what's best for you."

"Get out," Gogyul deadpanned

"Excuse me?"

"Or better yet, I'll leave." Gogyul stood from his seated spot and began throwing clothes into his black duffel bag.

Namjoon chuckled, "this is ridiculous Gogyul, it's not that serious."

"Right, it's not that serious, my opinions don't matter, I'm just a child; anything else dad?" He quips while throwing more things into the duffel.

Suddenly the door opens as Namjoon's about to speak and your small head of brown hair peaks through,

"Wha—Gogyul what are you doin—"

"Stop," he begins as you fully enter the room, "I'm leaving and don't act like you care."

"This is crazy; You're not leaving, we're family and we don't just leave when upset with—"

"For goddess' sake I'm not a fucking child anymore! When will you realize that!" Gogyul yells as he throws his duffel to the floor and turns to face both parents

You stand shocked at his tone,

"You—you mom of all people make me so fucking mad. You act as though everything and everyone will be fine and healed because that's what family does but this family sucks and it's sucked for a long time. You all keep us out of the family business when we're supposed to run hell or heaven in a matter of small years. You keep acting like we're still 4 years old but the truth is we're not mom. We're fucking not."
