Chapter Twenty-Eight

Mila, Tokki, Bora, and Gogyul all appeared in their family home. It was dark and eerily quiet, Gogyul walked in a circle as he eyed the place.

"It looks so...."

"Dead?" Tokki said, finishing Mila's thought. She nodded to him as they both began walking around the foyer, looking for the others.

"They must not have arrived yet. " Tokki said more to himself,

"Mmm...I don't know, I can't imagine they'd be late to this." Bora says as she notices the eeriness of it all, "It's not usually this quiet...Usually, there's so much noise to balance out silence like a buzzing or a ringing in your ear. There's nothing here....When we're not talking there is no sound whatsoever. I could probably hear hair grow."

"No," Gogyul said, "Something's wrong...."We need to leave. NOW."

"Okay...Calm down, lets go." Tokki said as he gently grabbed Bora. He stood still for a moment and then looked around confused.

"What? Why aren't you moving?" Bora asked

"I--Why can't I shimmer?" Mila asked, "Gyul? Why can't I shimmer?"

Suddenly, six bodies appeared, each shining their own lights of gold, pink, green, white, and purple.

Gogyul pressed his tongue into his cheek, "Are you fucking serious?" he muttered as Aurora, Na-Rae, Hyun, Winter, Jungsoo, and Fiona came into view.

"Mila...I thought you were going with Hyun? To heaven to see Na-Rae?" Tokki wondered

"I did....But when I got up there...Aunt Winter banished me." She said annoyed

"And I'd do it again, child." Winter said with a smile, "We can't take any chances--"

"And chances? That's our mother's domain! You hold no ties." Tokki argued

"Seeing as how your mother is absent, it leaves Na-Rae, Do-Wan, and Hyun in charge. Na-Rae ordered it and we dealt it out." Jungsoo said as his eyes became pale white.

"Soo? What are you doing?" Bora asked as she held onto Tokki.

Winter snapped her fingers and in seconds Bora was standing beside them. Tokki eyes immediately beamed purple as he stormed towards them but a barrier was put up. As soon as he touched it he was thrown into the wall and weakened immensely. Bora tried to get to him but Winter held her from touching the barrier.

"Hyun laced the barrier with fear and hallucination, he'll be out for a while." Fiona said emotionless

"Hyun!" Mila growled as she held her brother's head, " You know we're telling the truth! How could you?!"

Hyun sleepily lifted his head before stretching, he had been asleep this entire time. "Sorry....What?" he gathered what was going on, he felt the barrier, unharmed as he can't use his own powers against himself. Then he saw Tokki on the ground and Mila and Goyul staring at them with angry expressions, "Wait....What the hell is going on?"

"Na-Rae tricked us is what's going on." seethed Gogyul, "I'll admit little sister, you're good."

Na-Rae smirked,

"But...Not as good as me." he chuckled

"Gogyul, she's still our little sister. Don't.." Mila begged

"Oh no...."Gogyul began as he neared the barrier, not touching it but staring Rae in her eyes, "If she can turn off her emotions, I can turn off mine. Let's see what this little barrier can do when I'm at my full rage." he chuckled as his eyes slowly became a deep red.
