Love is an emotion that is too powerful to either bring happiness to or break a soul. It is an important aspect of life and also gives a meaning to it. It runs through our veins and keeps our hearts beating, with a promise told that it's marked on us forever. It's beautiful. Fierce. Passionate. It's unforgettable.
Some are pure. Others are toxic. Then there's platonic.
Evelyn was lucky enough to experience the first time she had fallen in love. It was one of the few memories she could clearly remember being happy.
Her first love, Bonnie Bennett.
A love that she would never forget and was brave enough to share with.
What started as a playful first kiss, eventually began to fill with the sweetest of passion, and countless of loving thoughts condensed into a moment. Evelyn felt like she was in heaven when she first kissed Bonnie.
It had also became an eye opener to a colourful spectrum for her.
Evelyn was madly in love with her best friend.
Bonnie was madly in love with her best friend.
It was a love so innocent yet wild.
Every moment spent with Bonnie, Evelyn savoured it and kept it close to her heart, wishing at times she could relive it all over again with her.
Bonnie was her person.
But eventually the passion between them outgrown, the spark that ignited between them was slowly fading out, coming to a mutual yet tearful acceptance that maybe they weren't meant to be eternal lovers in this life.
We're soulmates in another life. Evelyn and Bonnie believed in that, laughing through their tears and sealed it with one last passionate kiss.
That day had also been Evelyn's first heartbreak she experienced, so painful, and many nights spent alone in her bedroom, crying as she wondered what she had done wrong between them.
Bonnie blamed herself for not being able to love Evelyn the way she deserved to be. All she wanted was Evelyn to be happy and so she needed to be the one to let her go.
Evelyn would forever be grateful to have Bonnie in her life, lover or not, she had been one of the most important people in her life to show her the meaning of this pure emotion.
A part of Evelyn would always carry her love for Bonnie but the reality she eventually accepted was that she couldn't fill that empty feeling that was desperately aching to be healed.
Then Tyler Lockwood arrived, the boy who secretly had a crush on her.
Evelyn reluctantly gave herself a second chance, convincing herself that maybe he could be the one for her.
