Makenzie ran down the barren street, ducking behind cars as she watched for the creatures to slink by. Their metal parts clicked together as they moved and the dry blood of its victims clung to its demonic shaped body. She made her way around them, without any weapons to protect herself with. One was closer then she would have liked so she ducked lower, she could feel the gastly exaust of the beast.

Things had been this way recently because there was barely anyone for them to maul. 'Useless creatures' she'd call them. Creations her father had made for this specific purpose. To make her life hell when her father sent her up to the now hellhole that was earth. Her father was a foolish, arrogant, fucked up in the head bastard.

He was also Lucifer. King and Ruler of the underworld. Hell. And yes that did make her half demon. But that also meant her other billon siblings were, and God knows what else. What a fucking man whore.

She grimanced as the monster pushed agaisnt the car she was hiding behind. It hissed and slashed at the metal like a giant idiot.

'It's not alive dumbfuck' She thought as she dropped and rolled toward a nearby ally way. She used her speed to make good time climbing quickly up the side of the crumbling, abandoned building. There she was safe. Her father didn't design his "Masterpieces" with a brain just a bad appetite for blood. She walked to a hole in the roof, her boots crunching over broken glass and bullet shells. She dropped down the black abyss and landed squarely on her feet. A sudden shadow passed her and she smiled. Makenzie walked forward cautiously. The demon in her arose with the sudden promise for combat. She had no luck with her father's pets, They were apart of her anyways. Humans on the other hand.

Easy pickings. and oh so delicious to skin.

She swept low, Ready for anything. Then from behind she was ambushed. Tiny hands grabbed her waist, giggles filled the hallway. She couldn't help but let out a small giggle herself. Unassassian like but she didn't care. She fell, defeated and laughing.

"Oh no! I've been captured!"

She turned slightly to catch sight of a beautiful blond haired brown eyed girl. She was around the age of 6, wearing an oversized torn, and burnt coat the color of a dark green lizard. Rosy cheeks and a dazzaling smile.

Her laughter and teasing warmed Mackinze's heart. She slide her arm behind her and scooped up the little girl swiftly.

"But I've got you now," She listened to how the girl sqealed with delight as her arms wrapped around her. "Now that I have you what shall i do with you?"

"Let me goooooo!"

Makenzie did as she was told and let the girl sit beside her breathless from the wreastling. She had rescused the little human from the creatures. She was lost and recently orphaned. Fending for herself.

So she scooped her up and acted as her big sister since then. She was very fond of the child and didn't know what she'd do without her.

Probably kill every human she met cause..... why the hell not she was the most powerful in this world and the next. Until her father came to clean up his mess, this world belonged to her-and the creatures-and she did what she pleased.

"What's for dinner kenzie?" the girl asked,

"Eden I got something good tonight. I found it in the cellar of some poor...Nevermind but it's gonna be good.

She reached into the pack she carried of her back. She rummaged around, sorting through her very few clothes and a few cans to come up with a small bag of what looked to be beef jerky.

Eden's face lite up, something Makenzie took pride in. She reached for the bag. Makenzie handed it to her so she could dig in. She carried all the food knowing how children were with food. She personally didn't need the substenance, she just enjoyed the taste of food. Before it was a life or death battle to obtain it.

Tonight she passed on eating, leaving the delicacy to Eden. She might not know what anything good was when she grew older. So it was the perfect time to scavage anything good she could.

In the past few months she had found a mattrese-which was a bitch to get into the building- a few lighters, a couple candy bars, and food that might last them a few more weeks. So far she was doing pretty good with survival. She aimed to give this girl a better childhood then her own. Food and love rather than fighting and pain. A mighty fine way to raise a child in hell. Much better than death she supposed, not thinking about it to much.

"Kenzie, someone tried getting in today,"

"What? Who?" Panic rose up suddenly

Eden shrugged. Was it the creatures? Humans? She turned towards Eden as she munched down on the jerky.

"Sweetheart what happened?"

"They tried opening the door. I was playing dolls and they started hitting the door. I think it was 100 men outside they were loud and scary. I knew i was safe because you would have came to save me. The things outside started to come and they left."

Makenzie sighed, fear passing quickly. Who ever they were they wouldnt be back, whatever was in the building- which isn't much- wasn't worth dying over. She rested her hand is the girls hair, leaning to kiss her forehead gently.

"It'll be ok princess, Kenzie will always be here to protect you."
