Her eyes landed on the small stones on the side of the road. Stones the size of quarters at the most. She smiled deviously. Slowly stooping down she picked one up. It was smooth and warm to the touch. She stared at the back of Wolfe's head and smiled to herself as her demoned purred with awe at her next move. Which bulls eye aim she threw the stone. Not with all her strength but hard enough to sting.

She was expecting to hear, perhaps a sneer of pain, or atleast a thud, but nothing came. He had ducked away from it. Her demon hissed.

How did he hear me? How did he know? She shook it off, coincidence. She silently picked up a few more and with a few flicks of her wrist sent them flying.

One,

Two,

Three,

All sailed past him. She growled harshly in her throat. He didn't want to play her games. The last stone was much bigger, heavier then the others. Her last attempt. When she threw it she made it curve. As Wolfe Went to dodge it, he leaned right into its path.

He froze, his hand flying up to the back of his head. She couldn't see his face.

"Ow," He breathed out. She smiled, keeping her laughter to herself.

"Everything alright Aciel? Got stung by a bee or something?"

"Yes, or something Miss. Mackenzie," He said as he turned around slowly.

His mouth was turned up at the sides in a large grin, his chocolate eyes glittering with glee. Her demon jumped. She and it both found this look to be incredibly sexy. She rejoiced that it was she making him smile like that. His eyes on her.

He took a step forward. Toward her. She quickly took a step to the side to avoid contact. She wasn't sure what he'd do but with that look in his eye it wasn't good. He smiled wider and stalked toward her more. Soon they were walking circles. Wolfe growled softly at her warniong her not to make a stupid move. Little did he know she was a stupid person.

She winked at him and with her first advantage, made a run for it. He ran after her. She heard the greatest sound of her life then. It felt as if god had touched her damned body just now. It was his laugh. Dark, and deep, and husky. It made her want to stop and hear it again and again. So she kept running. And for the first time in centuries, actually laughed.

Her demon hide somewhere in her body unsure what to do. She slowed down suddenly. The feeling vanishing. They had been running at unnatrual speeds and he didn't even attempt to catch her. He slowwed too, sensiong her waryness. Something was watching them.

Mackenzie felt something snake around her waist. She looked to find that it was Wolfe, stealing her Katana. She gasped jerking away from him. She was about to scream at him to keep his filthy hands off her stuff, when he shushed her. She looked at him in awe. Dumbfounded.

'Rude' she thought. She looked around but her blood thundered in her ears. A sudden flash of metal alarmed her. Fear hit her, how did she not hear it. They were usually so loud.

Wolfe didn't bother to hide, he reached over and stole her katana. Whispering softly to it it glowed a golden aura. He continued walking pushing her out the way, safely behind him. She growled softly. She saw what looked like a smile cross his face than vanish.

As they got closer the beast revealed its self. Bright neon green eyes set in a shiny metal face. It looked almost wolf like, only about the size of a bear. Steel teeth protruded from its muzzle and steam came off its metal clad back. Gears clinked around inside as its limbs moved toward them, tensed up. A growling purr sound came from the things chest. This creature looked...oddly clean. Which made it more frightening.
